I checked my email Sunday morning, the summer before my junior year of high school, to find an email from the family I nannied: the cutest photo of an 8 week old Jack Russell... needless to say it was a learning experience, and a long 3 months. Since then I got my own puppy, a 2 year old chocolate lab I've had since she was only 3 1/2 weeks old; she is living in DC with my parents and my two family dogs because I moved into an apartment in Austin, studying architecture at UT. I'm used to the routine of taking care of dogs, I love it, and I want to help take care of other dogs in my community. My roommate has one dog, a small bichon, who gets along well with other dogs, and only stays at the apartment about half the time. The apartment is a spacious 4-bedroom, and it has a very large balcony; it is never crowded, but a roommate would always be available to care for or walk a dog in an emergency, as well as providing extra aid if necessary.
