Pet care experience
I am a pre-veterinary graduate from Wake Forest University (class of 2018). I have always had a love for all animals and have cared for about every kind of creature one could imagine. I currently work part-time at veterinary hospital, and I own a variety of animals myself. My family lives on a small farm. I'm rather flexible and willing to adapt to anyone's preferred style of pet-care (within reason), as I know all families care for their pets differently. Being pre-veterinary, I have a rather busy schedule, but no schedule is too busy to love and take care of a beloved pet! My calendar with my varying availability can be found on my Rover profile. Like most people, we love our dog. Like really love our dog. (A senior retired racing Greyhound.) Therefore, we're really picky about who watches her. Our regular sitter retired so we were on the hunt for someone new. We stumbled upon Sophia on Rover and were immediately drawn to her because she's a pre-vet major at Wake. Our meeting with her sealed the deal. She was on-time, friendly, detailed and enthusiastic. We were gone for 4 days and she came when promised, updated us with photos and text and responded quickly to any questions we had. We highly recommend Sophia and will definitely be using her again.

I do not discriminate, I love all breeds! But I do ask to be informed of any and all medical conditions the dog might have prior to its arrival. I'd also love to know how the owner would like me to care for their dog. For instance, I know some owners prefer that dogs not be allowed on the furniture, if that's the case, then I will follow suit and not let the dog on my furniture either so as not to promote bad behavior when the dog returns home.
A typical day
Our walks will either be around the dog's own neighborhood or likely around Reynolda campus, which has several beautiful fields, plenty of space to run, and lovely trails to walk along. We can also play several games such as fetch, chase, and tug-of-war
