Pet care experience
I have taken care of dogs since I can remember. I grew up in a dog home, with a English Springer Spaniel and eventually the addition of two Corgi Puppies. I was always in charge of walking the dogs and helped raise Brady, my two year old Corgi, through his chaotic puppy phases. I would often be hired to take care of the pets of neighbors, responsible for feeding, cleaning, bathing and loving on dogs of all kinds. I am in college far from home and I am missing my dogs more than ever, which makes me more than excited to care for yours. With a lifetime of experience, my friends call me the "dog whisperer," a nickname I gladly carry on to.

Sophia is a true pet lover! She loves all animals like they are part of her family. Since she was a little girl she has had a cadre of pets ranging from guinea pigs and lizards to hamsters and dogs. Dogs, however, are her true passion. She has two energetic Corgis at home. They are lean and mean from their daily walks ranging from 2 to 5 miles. On their walks Sophia is careful to implement positive reinforcement when they heel, sit, stay, and act respectfully around other animals. You could not ask for a better dog walker than Sophia. She loves her pets, she is a responsible pet owner, and appreciates the importance of fitness and good manners in every dog!
Sophia LOVES dogs! She enjoys exercising and the outdoors. If you put the two together you have her dream job! She has been around dogs her whole life and really enjoys their company. She is responsible, trustworthy and kind. Any dog(s) in Sophia’s care will be loved and well cared for.

With plenty of experience dropping in on neighbors' pets, I am comfortable visiting and caring for pets in any type of home. I love to exercise, so dog walks are my favorite pastime and I am happy to go as far as any dog needs to keep them fit.

It is extremely important for me to know if a dog is aggressive towards other dogs, for that means I have to be much more careful on walks. It is also important to me to know if the dog has any history of attacking its owner, and or another person, for I do not want to subject myself and my safety to that. It is also important for me to know if the dogs has any major fears, like trucks or loud noises, so I can be fully prepared.
A typical day
I will happily keep any type of dog entertained both physically and mentally throughout the day. Raising two high energy corgis, I am well trained in playing non-stop, ranging from tug of war to fetch, and so much more. I love the outdoors and exercise, so I will happily embark on long walks and even hikes. I know many great trails in San Diego for dog-friendly hiking.

Availability
I currently work part-time and will begin attending college classes again in the fall, but I have lots of downtime and plenty of time to take care of your pups! The hours, and often, full days that I have no classes or work, I prefer to keep busy, leaving me ample time to fit in early morning dog walks and several drop in opportunities depending on the week.
