Pet care experience
I’m just a UVA graduate looking to make some furry friends (and some money) on the side! I love the outdoors and will thoroughly enjoy taking your dog(s) out with me on runs, walks or hikes. I’m also around to just play around a house with a ball, rope or chew toy so your dog never has to feel lonely while you’re getting stuff done :) I had a Labrador mix growing up, and have also dog sat for friends and neighbors, so I have plenty of experience caring for dogs. My dog was also a rescue who had anxiety, so if your dog also has anxiety (towards humans or other dogs) I am totally sensitive to that and am willing to work with you to make sure that your dog is happy and comfortable!

If you have the chance book a stay for your dog with Sophia... Book it! Even if you are in town, because your dog is guaranteed to have an amazing time! Sophia and her outdoorsy roommates are more than ready to give your dog lots of love and take your dog hiking, running, and on walks around grounds. I wish I was still in Charlottesville so I could continue using Sophia as my dog sitter for my 1 year old Irish Setter. Thanks again Sophia :) Ivy misses you!
Sophia was an incredible host and took our dog on some amazing adventures! Honestly I think my dog was a little bummed to leave her. We will definitely book with her again!!
We were very happy with Sophia! She took great care of our two ornery French Bulldogs. She gave them lots of love and snuggles during their stay, and kept us updated with photos. We will definitely use Sophia again.
Sophia was wonderful! She responded quickly and even did a day-of meet n greet for a sitting the next morning. My dog liked her immediately and felt comfortable with her in our home. Sophia was honest about her schedule/availability but super flexible with our last minute request. We would definitely (and might sooner rather than later) use her again!

A typical day
I love walking as a form of exercise, so I would like take your dog for a nice long walk, giving them some great exercise! If your dog still has a lot of energy, I can play with them in the private backyard or my apartment (we don’t share it with the rest of the tenants in the building).

I’m working as a nanny with somewhat flexible hours in the city. If your dog needs care on Wednesday or Thursday mornings, or the weekend I will be fully home!
