Pet care experience
I have had a love for dogs ever since I was a kid and my love grew even more once I got my first family dog. I started dog sitting in high school and have had a few opportunities to continue dog sitting while at school at UWL. I would love to give your dogs the love and care they deserve while you are away from home. From taking your dog on walks, stopping in to socialize, or staying with them overnight, I am more than willing to help! I volunteer at the Coulee Region Humane Society, doing dog walking and dog socialization. Volunteering at the shelter has increased my knowledge on caring for dogs that may not feel comfortable or have an abundance of energy to release. This has also lead me to care for dogs of many different sizes breeds, and personalities.

Sonya has taken care of my 60lb rescue a couple times while I was on vacation and I highly recommend her services! She kept me updated a couple times a day to keep me at ease, which I really appreciated. My dog came back very happy and tired out with all the walks she took him on. She is very gentle and friendly with all dogs and gives them a happy place to stay while the owner is gone!
Sonya is a very reliable, responsible person. She volunteers at the local humane society in her spare time and loves animals. I would trust her with my dog any day. She is a lovely person and will take care of your pet like it’s her own!
Sonya was an excellent pet sitter. Our dog always looks forward to seeing her when she comes. She’s reliable, caring, and loves to take our dog for a walk! Highly recommend!

A typical day
Giving your dog the love and exercise it needs is something I take seriously. I LOVE taking dogs for walks, hikes, exploring new areas, and playing games to stimulate their minds.

Availability
I currently go to school at UW-Lacrosse, but am available while not in class, especially weekends. Class schedules vary every day, but nights are open for the most part after 5:30 pm. Weekends are almost always free:) Starting June 3rd, I will be working 8-10 hours per day at my summer job (Monday-Thursday). If your location is close enough, it is possible for me to leave work to let out your dog (within 10 minute drive). Weekends are available for the most part as long as they are booked far enough out!
