We have a highwater bungalow, with a fenced front yard and a back yard enclosed by a 6-foot wood fence. The yard areas are a combination of dirt and concrete, with some new grass coming soon! And a doggy wading pool for those extra hot days! There is a great park about two blocks away, which we often walk to for fetch and leg stretches. My dog is very mellow, and is not all that active due to age, so she would only accompany us on short walks. Otherwise, she likes to lie under the table and ignore other dogs. She barks when someone comes to the door, but wouldn’t hurt a fly. The two cats spend most of the day in the master bedroom, and can be closed off for care of a cat or other animal that might not agree with them - though of course I’d prefer that everyone gets along! When my partner is here, they also work from home, and have even more energy for snuggles, runs, and bike rides.
