Pet care experience
I have had little dogs and big dogs. I currently have a lovable golden retriever who also enjoys extra company. I already go on walks and spend time with my dog, so if you need my assistance to provide some love and attention to your dog, let me know! I'd be happy to take your dog out on a nice, long walk while you are away at work. I am able to walk big dogs and little dogs. I'll make sure to give your pet all the love and attention while I am with them. Throughout the years, I have had experience dog-sitting for others. It's usually a friend who we've already met at the dog park and if they are going out of town, then their dog is welcome to stay with me while they are away. I also take dogs out on walks and can understand that some dogs might need a little more exercise than others. If you are interested in doggy daycare, my golden retriever would love to have a playdate! We have a great fenced in yard with turf and lots of toys. On hot days, we set up a puppy pool and a splash pad too!

Sonya helped take care of my maltese when I was out of the country. I didn't want to leave my dog at a pet hotel because I've heard that they stay stuck inside for most of their stay. I liked the idea of having Sonya watch Benji because then Benji could roam around the house freely, play with Kobe, go out on walks, and just get the love and attention that I'd give him. Sonya is super friendly and attentive with dogs. She has a golden retriever named Kobe who is the sweetest dog ever. Benji and Kobe got along well right from the start and I felt safe leaving Benji in Sonya and Kobe's care. I was out of the country for about 2 weeks and when I came back to pick up Benji, he looked happy and healthy and well-taken care of. Thanks Sonya!

I would like to know about any concerns you have about the dog getting along with other dogs. It would be best if your dog is trained to go potty outside and can hold it until they are outside. I would like to pet sit smaller-sized to medium sized dogs, but will also consider large dogs.
A typical day
Depending on how long I am taking care of your dog, we will be going on walks in the neighborhood or playing in the backyard. I have a yard with turf, so the dogs really enjoy it. There is enough shade so that the dogs do not over heat and they can relax on the cool concrete area too if they like. There's enough area for them to run around and play with balls and toys. I always have a big bowl of fresh water ready for the dogs. I have plenty of squeaky toys and Keoni likes to play tug-of-war sometimes if your dog likes to play too. Sometimes, I'll load up the dogs in my car and we will go over to UTC Mall or Sea Grove Park in Del Mar to walk around, enjoy the sunshine, and take in the sights.

Availability
When I'm not working, the rest of the time is spent playing with my golden retriever. He enjoys lots of play dates and walks! We are always training, whether it's basic commands like heel, come when called, or fun tricks like clean-up or high five!
