Safe, attentive, all-day love!

Pet care experience

After a 2 year hiatus from pup care, I’m so excited to be back! With 23 years of dog-loving experience, you can trust your fur-kid with me. I have been working with dogs since I was nine years old and have extensive experience working with and owning all kinds of dogs, but especially GSD's. I I am adept at gaining the trust of the most timid of dogs and will provide the utmost care, attention and love to your companion. It is crucial that you provide me with all of the information I will need on your pets health and quirks so I can provide the best love and attention. Its my joy to spend time with your special fur kid, and I want it to be fun and safe. I look forward to meeting you and your friend!

Sonja was absolutely amazing taking care of our pooch while we were at the hospital giving the birth of our first child. Sonja was very flexible in terms of timing (given it was unpredictable!), and showed up right when we needed her. She spent way more time with Chloe than we would’ve expected, sent us lots of picture updates, and left the house in better shape than we had when we returned home. We’ll definitely work with Sonja again!!!

Sonja was our savior. Our puppy was recently diagnosed with severe hip problems and is awaiting surgery. We needed someone who was confident with dogs with special needs, as well as someone who could make us feel comfortable, and Sonja was it. Not only did she give Moose everything she needed, I came home to a dog who was calmer, happier, and better behaved that when I left. Sonja is knowledgeable, professional, and lovely to have around. She will definitely be our go-to for Moose in coming weeks and beyond.

Safety, trust & environment

Safety is my top priority. This is why meet and greets are critical before booking so I can get a sense for the dogs needs, personality, and your home. Knowing things like if your pup is an escape artist, has a penchant for chicken bones, or has various medical or health needs is important.

Information Sonja S. would like to know about your pet

I love all dogs, but I am most experienced with medium to larger dogs. I will require meeting any dog before agreeing to sit or board to make sure the dog, family, and myself are a good fit. My goal is to make you and your dog as comfortable and happy with my services as can be. You MUST bring proof of flea and tick prevention during meet and greets and also shot records verifying your dog is up to date on all needed vaccinations. I require that any dog that boards with me has: 1) Their medication for me to administer (this is absolutely required) 2) Vet information written or typed clearly. Please also include any health conditions or diet needs. 3)Leash 4)Crate, if the dog is crate trained 5)Emergency contacts (i.e. neighbor, friends, family) in case I cannot get a hold of you. 6)Favorite treats. While I will have some basic treats on hand, please also provide your dog's favorite treats 7)Food
