Pet care experience
I'm a Carleton Place residents born and raised. I've worked in the pet industry for over 10 years, I managed a all breed/sizes/temperament boarding kennel out in Calgary for 5 years, worked for Petland Canada for 3 ( 2 of them being Store manager). Upon moving back to the Ottawa area 2 years ago I found my true passion in a vet clinic. I started out as a Receptionist, where I moved to my current position as a Technician Assistant. My drive to learn more and do my best for animals led me to apply to Tech School to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. I have a Labrador Retriever named Drax, he is my constant companion who would be joining me in your home (should your dog / cat be dog friendly). He is dog, cat and small animal friendly. Drax is also crate trained, and would not be left out with your pet unattended. Fun fact he is also a universal dog blood donor.

Sonja sent lots of pictures while we were away for the week. She was the perfect sitter for our corgi and our cat. I would definitely recommend her to friends and family .

Sonja is amazing, this was my first time leaving my dog and after meeting with Sonja prior to my travels, I felt comfortable. Sonja provided regular updates with pictures and how he was doing. Highly recommend!!!

I would like to know which vet clinic your pet goes to. I also need a written or printed letter stating I have the right to make medical decisions on behalf of your pet should you not be reachable in a time of need, as well as a budget for medical care. I will always try to contact you in the event of a medical emergency prior to making any medical decisions.
A typical day
I like to keep things as close to your pets regular routine as possible, whether that is daily walks, yard play time, or just a afternoon snuggling should they not be as mobile as they once were.

Availability
I work Full time Monday to Friday in a Veterinary Clinic. If your home is close to my place of employment I will be coming home at lunch to check on your pet. If not, I will be there once done for the day to take care of them, just as you would when you return after a hard day at work.
