Pet care experience
I have owned many dogs since I was kid. Ranging from small breeds through large breeds. I am a professional horse back riding instructor and am comfortable with a wide range of dog breeds. I have a lot of experience in training dogs and horses and am comfortable with helping young dogs learn the ropes. One of my favorite things to do is to go hiking and walking all year around and love to have my dog with me as I do so. When I’m at home with dogs that are either mine or friends of mine they get my full attention. I am comfortable with administering chewable and liquid meds to dogs and know basic first aid for dogs. I feel confident that if an emergency were to happen I would know how to handle it and what the best course of action would be. (Always starting with calling the pet owner and confirming with them before doing anything serious.) My two personal dogs are very well trained and behaved and are very pet friendly.

Sonja has always been wonderful with animals, specifically with dogs and horses. Some people are just meant to handle animals and she is one of them. She draws the perfect line between setting boundaries for the animal and still providing the love and kindness the animal wants as well. I'd recommend her to watch anyone's dogs, you won't be disappointed.
Sonja has such a big heart, especially for animals. Her compassion and care for fur babies is evident in her daily life and the way she interacts with all animals. My husband and I have regularly called upon her to watch our beloved dog and cat and we know they are getting the best care while with her. There are few people we entrust to care for our fur babies and Sonja falls at the top of the list.
Sonja is a true animal person - she loves animals of all sizes and of all kinds. Not only does she get excited to see our dogs, but our two huskies absolutely LOVE to see Sonja. She also has a commanding but fair and kind presence with animals. Our dogs are generally well behaved, but they snap to attention whenever Sonja asks anything of them. Overall, I couldn’t recommend Sonja any more highly!
Sonja is the only person I would ever trust to watch my dogs for any extended amount of time. My 2 dogs are Siberian Huskies, and with that, there comes a lot of energy and attitude. Sonja has a way of approaching my dogs with so much love but also the firmness they need. They have been watched by others whenever it was necessary for my husband and I to travel out of town, and each time, they proved to be more to handle than our sitters were expecting. Sonja watched them for us and they were perfect! She has the amount of energy they need and gives them all the attention they could ever want. They LOVE when they find out Sonja is coming over to visit. I know she loves my girls and I honestly don’t know if I’ll ever be able to travel again if Sonja is unavailable to watch my dogs. Highly recommend her for all your pet sitting needs!
