Pet care experience
I’ve been called “dog crazy,” and I can understand why. I’m an upbeat and cheerful person, and I like to surround myself with others who exude positivity. Unsurprisingly, dogs fit the bill! Their presence calms my nerves and energizes my soul. They mean the world to me--and it’s a love I am meant to share. Friends and family rely on my help whenever they travel. Their dogs love vacationing with us, and we welcome each and every guest with open arms. My husband and I have two fur-babies of our own. We live in East Downtown, in a complex with an amazing dog park. The one-bedroom apartment has a huge, comfy couch for cuddles, and we’re a ten-minute walk from Discovery Green Park. Both of our dogs are mixed-breed. Jasmine is 10 years old and 25 pounds. She’s a sweetheart who loves volunteering as much as I do; she works with special-needs children in her free time. Jackson is 8 years old and 8 pounds. Fetch and long naps are among his favorite activities. I grew up with a wild and lovable Collie, and volunteered at the ASPCA when I was in college. I quickly fell into pet-sitting, and have cared for all sorts of dogs. My other passions include film, theater, and music; I play the ukulele for fun, and love going to see plays and musicals. I’m a teacher, so I have the summers off to enjoy puppy playtime all day. My attentiveness, care, and compassion keep clients and their humans coming back again and again. I make communication easy and effective. Your concerns and your puppy’s needs will always take first priority, and I’m always available to check in with regular updates, photos, and reassurance. Your pup will have plenty of fun and adventures with us, and you’ll come home to a relaxed and refreshed dog.

Sonia has watched my fur baby on several occasions and each has been a great experience for both myself and my pup. She constantly sends pics so i know how my pup is, and of course, she's always cozy, comfortable, and spoiled as ever. I travel quite a bit for work and pleasure and she is the first person in Houston I think of (along with one of the few I trust) to watch my pup. I highly, highly recommend Sonia if you're looking for someone to watch your fur baby!

I have never seen someone love dogs as much as Sonia does! She is so loving toward them, she's always ready to spoil and treats dogs as if they were human children. She is trustworthy, reliable and will definitely fulfill all of your wishes and expectations as a dog sitter. She's the best!

A typical day
We’ll start with a long walk early in the day, before the heat sets in. Then we’ll enjoy playtime in the dog park in our complex. We’ll have all day to enjoy each other’s company, play with Jasmine and Jasper, and get plenty of exercise. If your dog has favorite treats or activities, we’ll be sure to work those in. Our family likes to wrap up the day with a cozy cuddle pile on our big couch!
