Pet care experience
I primarily have experience with senior pets and reactive dogs. I have experience restraining and delivering daily subcutaneous fluids to a cat I cared for. I am comfortable keeping track of mutliple medications and administering oral medications. I have experience walking a reactive pitbull and feel comfortable walking dogs that are strong pullers and/or have past trauma. I have ample experience cleaning up accidents around the house, plants the pets have knocked over, bird cages, guinea pig cages. If you can think of it, I have probably cleaned it! I have grown up with dogs and cats my whole life, and have gone through puppy behavior and potty training with my family dog.

Sonali was great. Super friendly and eager to understand Rocco's routine to take good care of him. She came on time, provided great reports of how their walks went, and Rocco seemed super happy. She also jumped in at the last minute to walk Rocco when I was in a pinch, which was much appreciated!

I am not able to bring pets to my house, however I am happy to stay at the pets home overnight and come by throughout the day. I currently dog-sit a dog on some weekends where I stay overnight and spend most of the day with the dog as I do my homework.

A typical day
I always begin the day by letting the pet(s) become familiar with me and will play with them around the house. I can then determine how rough or gentle to play with the pet(s) depending on how they are reacting to me. If I am taking a dog for a walk, I spend some time getting familiar with maintaining control of the dog and making sure they feel comfortable with me walking them. During the walk, I often let the dog lead the way, letting them follow each new scent. And of course if the dog is leading somewhere they shouldn't be, I will guide them toward a new direction.

Availability
I am a part-time college student and work part-time. I am available every morning and afternoon to walk or feed a pet and am always available Monday and Wednesday evening. All other evenings depend on my work schedule. I work from 4pm-9/10pm so if I am able to feed the pets an early dinner I can handle care any day of the week. I also have a car and am able to stay overnight or stop by the house anytime if the house has parking available.
