Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Sommer. I've been on Rover since January 2024! I love animals and have had experience with pets my whole life (Dogs, cats, parrots, small lizards, gerbils, fish, chickens). I’m a mom of an 8 and 6 year old who also love animals. My Husband and I have been married since 2009. We currently own chickens that are pets and lay eggs for us. We live in a quiet Hartland neighborhood in a cul-de-sac that is very low traffic. Part of our yard is fenced for play and potty breaks, and I love taking daily walks around our neighborhood. In the last year we lost our beloved family dog and we really miss having a furry friend in our home. We are sensitive to animals' needs at all ages and uphold the utmost respect for your deserving companion! When they are happy so are we!

Sommer and her family did an AMAZING job with my two dogs. She was super responsive, always sending updates and pictures, and was super understanding to both of the dogs individual needs.
Sommer is a lovely person. She and her wonderful family took great care of our pet for 2 whole weeks. Appreciated daily pics and updates. Sommer is very quick in responding. Was very flexible in timings. Thank you again Sommer. Leo will be back soon.
Sommer took fantastic care of our Tuck! He's a hesitant dog but opened up to Sommer right away. Her family was also wonderful with Tuck and he came home very happy. He loves to walk and they had him out everyday and provided daily updates. Tuck can't wait to stay with them again!
Highly recommend Sommer! Her and her family are amazing! I will definitely be using Sommer again in the future!

I live in a quiet cul-de-sac. I always practice sit-stay when opening the door to prevent bolting out. Our yard is partially fenced and outside the fence your pet will always be leashed. If I am away for a short period and it's needed for safety or per your preference, we do have a large crate and an enclosed pet gate.

A typical day
I like to take mid morning walks daily and play games that challenge your dog with listening/commands (like sit and stay or leave it) or games that user their nose (hide and seek toys/treats). And of course play fetch!

I currently work part-time from home so I have plenty of time to spend with your pet! I'm available any day of the week for boarding.
