Throughout my life, animals have held a special place in my heart, fostering a deep love and connection with them. Growing up, my parents' home has always been filled with furry companions, including dogs, cats, rodents, birds, and horses. Currently we have a 9-year-old Pomeranian and an energetic 1-year-old miniature dachshund. I have the privilege of owning a horse, which has further nurtured my passion for animals. In my formative years, I dedicated myself to volunteering at an animal shelter for a year during my sixth form. This invaluable experience allowed me to acquire a wide range of skills, including dog walking, training, and fundamental animal care. I treasure the lessons and insights gained during this period, as they have shaped my understanding of animal welfare and enriched my ability to nurture and support these vulnerable creatures. Even now, when I visit my parents' home in Spain, I continue to contribute to the welfare of animals by volunteering at another local shelter. Most weekends, I lend a helping hand by walking shelter dogs, relishing the opportunity to make a positive impact on their lives and bring joy to their days. My affinity for animals has become an integral part of who I am, motivating me to continuously seek opportunities to engage with and advocate for their well-being. Whether it's caring for my own pets, lending a hand at shelters, or pursuing further education and involvement in animal-related causes, my devotion to animals remains unwavering.
