Pet care experience
I'm a dog mom of 4 and an animal rescuer (foster mom) with experience caring for cats and dogs of all ages, breeds, sizes, and medical conditions. I live with my husband Trey who loves animals as much as me, has been a proud pet parent of 12 years and foster pet parent for 7 years. After working in the corporate world for 11 years and spending years having my friends and family tell me “you should be working with animals”, I have finally decided to listen. Caring for animals is something that has always come natural to me and I’ve always been passionate about. I am often the friend or family member that gets the phone calls, text, and pictures to give advice on health issues (let them know when they need to take their baby to the vet or if it's OK to wait), share tips on nutrition, and proven home remedies. I have been a pet parent for over 20 years, have fostered rescue dogs for 7 years and rescue cats/kittens for 3 years. I have a soft spot for seniors as I believe they should live the most stress-free, comfortable lives in their golden years. I previously fostered for New Spirit 4 Aussie Rescue in Orlando fostering Australian Shepherds and since moving to South Florida three years ago, have been fostering for Good Karma Pet Rescue where I have had the pleasure of caring for dogs ranging from 5-lb chihuahuas to 135-lb Great Pyrenees. I’ve also cared for cats ranging from 3-week-old kitten neonates that weighed as little as half a pound to a 13-year-old senior who was rescued from the shelter before her time was up. I can administer medication orally, via injection, provide subcutaneous fluids, and syringe feed. My animals are my children and I will treat your pets like one of my own. Whether you want your animals to stay in the comfort of their own home, or have seniors/special needs pets that would benefit from around-the-clock care, I’m here for you. As my client, I would also gladly provide any advice possible to help enrich your pet’s life and health. I truly look forward to meeting and having the pleasure to take care of each and everyone one of your furbabies.

Sofia is nothing short of a Mary Puppins when it comes to caring for your pets. Her knowledge of pet care and health mixed with her fun but caring demeanor makes her the perfect pet sitter or caretaker for your cat or dog. My animals love everything about Sofia and I have no worries about their health or happiness when they're in her care and I know she'll send me updates and pictures to let me know my furry loved ones are doing.
Sofia and her husband are very kind. They were flexible with pickup and drop off times which was appreciated since they watched my senior dog for Thanksgiving. Their home is beautiful and clean and you can tell how much they care for pets. would highly recommend them!
My name is Lucy. Im a Golden Retriver. My family means everything to me and when they leave me for a while it can feel scary, but as soon as we drive down the beautiful tree lined street, I know where we’re going. I feel excited to see all my animal friends and to play with new ones too! Tia Sofi and Uncle Trey always have the best toys and the best treats! They take such good care of me! I miss my family, but this is a dream vacation where it truly feels like my home away from home. Another great part, besides the friends, food, and fantastic toys is the BACKYARD!!!! My friends and I can run fast and far until we tire ourselves out and take a snooze. I feel so loved at Tia Sofi’s house. There’s no one on Earth who loves me more than I am loved by her (except my mom, dad, and baby of course). She knows my family misses me while I’m here so, she sends pictures and videos to my mom and dad to let them know I’m having a barktastic time! There’s no place better for me to vacation than Sofia and Trey’s doggy retreat.
Sofia is a true animal lover with a wealth of knowledge and experience. Her sincere love of animals, combined with her attention to detail, make her an ideal person to look after an animal while their family is away. I trust her wholeheartedly...I honestly think she takes better care of my pets than I do! She is a great communicator, is dependable, and knows a lot about animal health and safety. Anyone who is lucky enough to live near Sofia will see what an excellent asset she is to the pet community!

Information Sofia M. would like to know about your pet
I have no preferences when I’m caring for dogs in their own home. If boarding in my home with my pets, I like to know about any behavioral issues or concerns. If dogs are not crate trained, it would be preferred if they are housebroken. We have a spacious and open doggie den, plus a large and cozy guest room where they can stay cage-free. No breed preference, but dog needs to be friendly towards small dogs (one of my babies is 10lbs). They will remain separated anytime I’m not supervising with doggie gates but would like the Home to remain calm and stress-free for everyone. We have multiple secured doggie gates throughout our house to easily separate and rotate whenever needed, so if your dog prefers to have their own space that's not a problem.
