Pet care experience
I have experience taking care of dogs since I was 16 years old. I grew up taking care of two miniature schnauzers and a shih tzu back home in Texas. I frequently receive requests from neighbors and friends to take care of their dogs overnight or to walk/feed them. I would consider myself to be a "gentle parent" with dogs - I am patient, love playing with them (which helps to tire them out), and enjoy taking dogs out for long walks.

This is the second time Sofia took care of Scoot and she did such a wonderful job with him that he was excited to go with her and felt at home with her!
Sofía did a great job with my boy Scoot! She asked great questions beforehand, communicated throughout, and calmed him down when we was feeling anxious. Would definitely trust her to take care of my dog again!
Sofia was amazing! From the moment I met her, I knew my dog would love her. She has that calm, kind, and caring personality that all introverted dogs would appreciate. We had a short trip to Washington DC at the beginning of October and needed a help with our fur babies ion the first day. We were so happy that we met Sofia. She is an amazing girl: caring, kind, sweet and friendly. Our dogs loved her and enjoyed being with her the whole day. She sent us some pictures and info how our dogs felt and behaved during the time with her, which made us feeling well and confident about them. I would definitely recommend Sofia to anyone who need a responsible and kind dog-sitter.

I live in a safe and friendly condominium where many young families live and own dogs. I don't have a backyard or front porch for your dog to roam in, but there is a dog park that is a 10-minute walk away from me. I would describe my neighborhood as serene, family-oriented, walkable with lots of greenery. I am also a 20-minute walk away from Rock Creek Park, so if you dogs likes short hikes, they will very much enjoy the walk. Dogs are allowed to sit on the furniture and roam the space freely, but I will have the doors closed and remove items from their reach that could be hazardous. I will prioritize feeding them to their schedule, walk them between 3 - 4 times a day, and of course play with them so they feel entertained and happy.
