Starting at an early age I have been caring and loving animals from my home, to volunteer work, and eventually to a professional level. I have experience working with animals with various behavioral, health conditions and other needs while establishing a very patient and gentle way of caring for them. I have been an animal care-taker on farms for various animals, worked with animals in shelters and most recently, a vet assistant for 1.5 years. My deep love and compassion for all animals brings me to naturally work with them so well and effortlessly. Being a life-long fur mama, you can trust your babies will be in the safest hands!

Sofia was my employee at Summer Animal Camp at the San Francisco SPCA one summer. She was fantastic with our animals but just as fantastic with our middle school students. Sofia has wonderful animal and people skills. She even adopted out two camp rats at the end of the summer, and we don't just let them go home with anyone! My services offer caring for your pets in your home. Based on your request and needs for your animals, I will fulfill all the care-taking needs. If your animal needs a little extra love and socializing, I will always provide that. Some animals can be unsure and nervous with new people, I am always aware of all behavioral signs animals give me when I need to respect there space and understand when they are ready to accept me as there friend. I never rush interactions and allow the animal to make their decision to approach me and will always provide a calm and friendly energy so that they can build their trust with me.

I need to know: -Overall temperament (if your animal has a tendency to react, bite or scratch quickly) -Temperament around dogs and other animals. -Any behavioral issues with playing and eating -How they are with kids and new people -Level of comfort with crowds, groups of people or the water -Any anxiety, allergies or health conditions Knowing your animals overall personality is very important when sitting a new animal. I like to establish a positive relationship to make sure they can trust me. Some animals can get very nervous when leaving their human, which is why I want to make sure I know everything so I can know the best way to make your animal feel comfortable.
A typical day
Here are some activities I can provide for your animal (this obviously varies depending on your animals likes and needs): ~Ball/Frisbee play~walking (long or short, beach or the woods)~brushing~Catnip time for cats~using fun interactive cat wands for playtime~brushing Open for any other requests if your animal has any fun activities they love to do.

Availability
For the moment, my schedule is focused on animal care-taking. If you are looking for a regular or occasional pet sitter, I can be available. I do have a food business I am creating, so there may be some days or times of the month I am not available, but check my schedule and I know we can find a time and way to make it work for us both.
