I’ve been working part time as a pet sitter and dog walker now for nearly 2 and a half years. I got into it because of my love for animals, and it has been so wonderful to have found it such a fitting job for me. I didn’t know when i started how long I’d be able to sustain doing this, but I quickly found that there’s a huge demand for dog sitters with a flexible schedule, which i have. For a lot of people, finding a dog sitter is like adding another member to the family, and i don’t take that job lightly! There is nothing I love more in this world that being surrounded by animals and you can be assured that any moment your beloved pet is with me, they are being well cared for. Some clients I haven’t looked after their pet officially for quite some years due to moving and not requiring sitters anymore and we’re still in touch! I have worked with anywhere from very young puppy’s to elderly dogs, and I know how to adjust caring for them accordingly.

Sofia was fab, she kept up with our energetic 14 week beagle, managed the cat/dog dynamics & looked after the house so we could enjoy a night away with no worries. We got regular picture updates & she checked anything she wasn’t sure about. Honest, flexible, reliable, nuts about animals and Erik (the beagle) loved her.

Sofia looked after our Staffie Moose when we went away for a day. She was fantastic and even though we had to make some last minute changes with picking up keys etc she was very professional, friendly and extremely helpful! When we got home Moose was very happy clearly having had a lot of fun with her! The pictures we were sent of Moose helped put our minds at ease and we couldn’t recommend her highly enough!! We will be booking with Sofia again and would recommend everyone else does the same!

Whilst you’re away your dog can expect lots of cuddles and play time (unless they don’t like that of course!). i like to send regular updates, can give as many or as little as you like. if your dog is off lead i won’t take them off lead for the first few times, but if you’re eventually comfortable with me doing so - and i feel comfortable as well - then i’m fully insured and happy to do so:)

A typical day
the most important thing i’ve learnt from all of the different dogs i’ve looked after, is how vastly different every dog’s schedule is. for the most part i usually just adapt to what the owners do when it comes to feeding and walking times. i’m used to dogs that need lots of attention, and also dogs that don’t! given the time i started dogsitting (in 2021), i’d say most of my dogs i look after, particularly the young ones, are quite needy as they had their owners home all of the time during the pandemic. so i'm happy to spen a lot of time giving them all the fuss they want
