Pet care experience
I have had experience with all kinds of dogs since I was 10, ranging from high-energy puppies to senior dogs who require more specified care. I have been an avid dog lover since I saw one for the first time as a child, and nothing makes me happier than getting to give a sweet pup a wonderful experience while in my care. I love a good couch potato cuddle, or a challenging hike, whatever your dog needs!

Great initial appointments. Dog and cats loved her and I felt really comfortable having her in our home. Our dog is usually slow to warm up to people and go for a walk with them but it went very well!
Skyler takes care of my two dogs and cat whenever I leave town. I wouldn’t feel comfortable leaving them with anyone else! They are a handful. My 5 year old Border Collie/Husky mix is high energy and reactive. Skyler’s body language and tone keep my dog calm and in control on walks, but she also has fun with her, and engages her with training and treats. My older Doxypoo adores her and is a finicky eater, but Skyler sits beside her and manages to get her to eat her meals. She’s great with cats too! It’s so nice to leave town and feel confident that my babies are safe.

My top priority is making sure each dog I care for feels comfortable and loved. My dogs back at home received a minimum of 2 walks a day, depending on their stamina level, as well as enrichment activities to keep them stimulated and happy. I have developed the ability to tune into each individual dog’s needs and preferences in order to provide the best care possible.

Please let me know if your pets have any reactive tendencies; this is in no way a deterrent for me, as I am experienced in working with any level of reactivity/anxiety when it comes to animals. I would also want to know if there are any medications your pets take to ensure their safety at all times while under my care. Lastly, let me know their favorite toy, activity to do or places to walk so I can learn how to give your sweet pet the best experience possible while in my care!
A typical day
I am able to utilize toys and indoor enrichment activities to give them plenty of mental stimulation. I also love to give the dogs a good sprint in the middle of their walk (only if they are able to of course) to get out some of that energy and let them go crazy for a second! I also really enjoy a small amount of training on walks to keep their brains stimulated, which then creates astounding behavior from the pups!

Availability
I work part time, Monday through Friday so my availability on weekdays is limited to 7am-3pm. I am completely available on Saturday and Sunday as early or late in the day as needed.
