Pet care experience
Pet care is my life! Thank you so much for browsing my profile. Please review periodically for updates and availability notices. Looking forward to working with you and your animal! 🐾 I’ve been a full time pet care provider with Rover coming up on 5 years now, I’m looking forward to the next 55! Working 7 days a week with hundreds of animals over the years in every weather condition I’ve experienced just about every scenario a sitter could imagine; everything is a learning experience, and everyday I use these experiences to better serve the animals I’m fortunate enough to care for. My life revolves the clients I look after and I prioritize their needs above anything else. I pride myself in communication and customer satisfaction and will make sure your animals are being cared for above and beyond your standards. Finally I am friendly, respectful, reliable, understanding, non-disruptive, and accepting of clientele from all lifestyles.
Reviews
This was our first time with Rover, and Luca loved Skyler from the minute he met him at our meet-and-greet! Skyler is a natural with him and comes fully prepared to best take care of your pup! Couldn't be more pleased.
Skylar was awesome!! It was such a relief to know our pups were in good hands. Great communication while booking and during the drop ins. Loved the photos with each drop in visit too. Thank you so much Skylar :)
Skylar was amazing! Can't wait to use him again!
It was our first time doing Rover and wasn't sure what to expect, but once we met Skylar we knew our senior pup was in great hands. We received updates throughout the weekend, and we got back to an immaculate house as well as a happy and relaxed girl. We would definitely recommend him to others. Thank you!

I will provide the perfect experience no matter your pet’s size, breed, age, or temperament. I’m attentive, predictive, patient, protective, and gentle, and very hands-on. Safety is my top priority; I take every precaution to keep every animal I service out of harms way. I can expertly interpret body language and can effectively communicate and condition desired behavior. I work with a network of responsible animal lovers so if for whatever reason I am unavailable I likely have a reliable backup if you’d be interested in their services, and I drive a ‘21 AWD SUV that’ll get me to your animal and god forbid the vet rain sleet snow or hail. Ask me about Training, “Pawsitivity” Seminars, Yard Clean Up, Pet Taxi, and Group or Solo River Adventure Expeditions!
Information Skylar S. would like to know about your pet
If you could please give me an idea of an ideal potty schedule, if and how your animal might take medication, emergency contact and vet information, bite history or other quirks, and how they have behaved in your absence in the past it will help me prepare for the best service I can provide! Thank you!
A typical day
I start my morning ideally waking up for breakfast with whichever animal I’m currently house sitting for. Because I often take walks and drop ins later than other sitters I try to make sure I can dedicate my mornings to my overnight animal. After a walk and or some play time I’ll hang out until it’s time for me to start my other walks and drop ins, but I’ll come by every couple of hours (8 at the very most) until I’m home for the night for potty breaks, meals, and some attention while you’re away! When I’m with an animal I try to limit phone use as much as possible so please text whenever possible as I am almost always with a client avoiding distractions or driving during business hours. I will respond ASAP, usually within a couple minutes, but prompt reply‘s are not always possible. In the meantime I’ll be showing your dog the best time I can, and as a Herndon native I know all the cool spots we can walk to!

SCHEDULE Most of my day is dedicated to pet care. Although I can get very busy my motto is on demand, open late. I like to start any out bound jobs around 11am and I usually find myself turning in for the night around 11pm. I’m more than happy to come to your home any time between that, my only request is that you can be fairly flexible on arrival times. I frequently have pet sitting obligations that change week to week which can make it very hard to accurately predict where and when I’ll be able to be or get to at any given time, the nature of animal care also includes seemingly infinite opportunities for delays and I routinely need to make adjustments to my day to account for emergencies, objective satisfaction, optimal route planning, and time spent between jobs speaking with clients.
