Pet care experience
I have been an active volunteer at Matsu Shelter for over 5 years. I have learned Fear Free Training, as well as garnered lots of invaluable experience working with animals of all kinds and temperaments.

My dogs were so happy! Skylar took excellent care of my dogs. They got so much love and attention and he followed the instructions that I left to a T. I hate leaving my dogs but know they had excellent care with Skylar. I will be using him in the future for sure!
I can't say enough good things about Skylar's pet skills! Being his sister, I have known Skylar his whole life. He has always had a special connection with animals, especially dogs and horses. He has been volunteering at the local animal shelter for over 5 years now and the growth he's shown is impressive. Skylar truly loves the animals in his care, and he treats them with the kindness and patience they all deserve. He is great about following written directions to ensure your pet has all their special needs met. He is reliable, trustworthy, and courteous. Skylar and I work together when we have dogs boarding or visiting, so pets are rarely alone and have lots of support throughout the entire day. We have a fenced dog run, but we walk our dogs at least once a day. We like regular trips to the dog park as well. Our dogs are family so they are allowed on the furniture, etc.

Does your dog have any issues with guarding resources, recall, leash reactivity, or meeting new people? Are there any areas that your dog doesn't like touched/petted i.e. feet, bum, head?
A typical day
We love to go for walks around the neighborhood, play fetch in the yard, and get a game of tug going. We work on basic commands with treats for positive reinforcement. Car rides and trips to the dog park happen several times a week. We like stimulating toys like treat balls, snuffle mats, and puzzles when there's alone time.

I have a very flexible schedule and I'm able to give lots of care with very little kennel time for animals staying in our home.
