Pet care experience
I have always been a very big animal person. I grew up with many pets some of which were my responsibility starting at 6 years old. I have always lived with at least three animals. When I was 12 I began watching my friends and families pets while they were away. I have watched dogs, cats, horses, chickens, ducks, bunnies, and more. I own an anxiety driven dog and have taken courses on supporting dogs with anxiety. I love all animals and treat them all like my own.

Skylar provided excellent care of our kitty while we were away. She was reliable, responsive, and updated us on how he was doing. We were happy to know that our kitty was in good hands!
Skylar is our go-to for when we need someone to look in our dogs. We’re blessed with her and how easy it is to get such great care. It’s a relief when we know our dogs will need someone while we’re away.
Skylar does a great job with all of our pets! This is our third time using her. She always take great care of them and can even work with our smart (and stubborn) bordoodle who has a mind of her own about going back inside. We trust her completely.

I have two fur babies of my own which I spoil. My dog is high energy and requires frequent walks. My cat is an attention lover and always wants cuddles. I always put my pets first sometimes to a fault. I carry the same expectations for the treatment of my pets and client’s pets. As I mentioned before I treat all animals as if they were my own.

It’s important for me to know the needs of your dog before their placement with me. For example medication and specifics of food and water intake are important. I also like to know your dogs triggers and what makes them react for example my dog has a fear of cars and reacts by running when she sees one.
A typical day
I often take dogs for a walk or play their preferred game ex. Fetch/ tug of war. I let the dogs decide the day. If they are hyper and high energy I’ll take them out.

Availability
I’m currently working part time Monday through Wednesday and occasionally pick up a few extra shifts. I am happy to help on these days outside of my work hours (10am- 6pm). I am free Thursday’s, Friday’s, and typically Saturday and Sunday.
