Skylar is the very definition of a dog-person, having both a remarkable ability to understand dogs as well as a tremendous love for them. It's great to know someone who is interacts so easily and naturally with dogs, and who dogs seem drawn to, as well. Skylar genuinely cares, and dogs seem to know it, too. I never worry about my dog when he's with Skylar (and I usually worry about everything!). But, I know ...
I have known Skylar for over 7 years now. I was her dog groomer when she lived around me. While she has moved away and I don't have the pleasure of grooming her pups she still remains in contact and has always been an amazing pet parent. Her dogs always came into my salon in great condition both health and coat wise as well as behavioral. She is more than competent in dealing with dogs ...
Skylar has always presented themselves to me as a responsible dog owner, taking the time out of their day to ensure their personal dogs are in the best health and shape they can be in. If something is wrong, Skylar will immediately take appropriate action to find out what is wrong and fix it. Skylar communicates well with other dog owners and as a professional dog trainer, there are very few people I would trust ...
Not your average dog sitter!
I used to work as a paramedic and volunteer firefighter until an injury opened a new passion for me - working with dogs! Since then, I have dedicated the majority of my time to learning all I can about all things dog-related.
I have experience with dog training (especially working dogs), non-aggression-related problem solving, and special care for working dogs and special needs. I will treat your canine companion as if they were my own. I ...
What Skylar would like to know about your dog
As much as owners would like to tell me! What do you want out of a visit or walk? Does your dog like to walk briskly, or slow and smell the flowers? What's your dog's routine? Any problem behaviors, fears, medical issues, special needs, reactivity issues? Has your dog been sick recently? Any history of aggression or bites? Veterinarian in case of emergency and emergency contact. Favorite treats and toys. Rules of the house for the dog and what structure is given and to be reinforced. Any allergies? For puppies - has your dog been immunized for parvo? Is your dog housebroken? Crate trained?
I will require proof of current rabies vaccination as required by law.
