Pet care experience
2021 update - I now have a cat. I am available for house/dog sitting, drop is, and walks. I grew up with two dogs all of my life but when I started my academic career I found I didn't have time for pet parenthood full time. I enjoy long walks and playing fetch. I would really like to meet your fur-baby and care for them in your absence! I have experience caring for my neighbors and friend's dogs while they are away. I know how taxing being alone can be on dogs. Staying at home is the best way ease kennel anxiety and improve your pet's quality of life while you are away. Medicines, incontinence, anxiety, and old age are no problem. I have recent experience with all and welcome any challenge. I am a pupper person and love giving cuddles, playing fetch, and making sure ample treats are supplied. I can't wait to meet you and your animals. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

This is my first review with Rover and I’m more than happy to make it. Skylar was absolutely amazing. From the meet and greet, to the dog sitting, to coming home to a house that didn’t look like anyone had even been there. She is 10’s across the board. She kept me updated with photos and answered all my annoying texts. I look forward to using her for future sitting gigs if she’ll have my boys again!
Our dogs loved Skylar. Even our anxious baby felt comfortable with her. She sent lots of pics, watered our plants when our drip system failed and left the house clean. We highly recommend her!
Skylar gave Charlie and Teddy great attention and sent me fun daily photos. Both fell so much in love with her during the "meet and greet" that they whimpered when she left. That's something they've never done with anyone other than me. I will be asking for Skylar anytime I need a sitter for the pups.

I am very flexible and can accommodate most routines - let me know what your pupper prefers and we will work it out! I work as a research scientist so my start/end times are flexible but will spend 8 h away from your pup during the day. On weekends I am active but will make time for more frequent and longer walks (usually 3 per day). I have no breed preferences I welcome all animals, big or small, and have diverse experiences (fish, bunnies, cats, gekos, ...). I have a fondness for pitbulls and labs as those tend to be my client base but I am open to any breed!
A typical day
I am willing to walk around your neighborhood if that is your dog's preference, but I am also willing to take them to the park or play fetch in the back yard when we are done with business! If cuddling or fetch is more your pet's speed just let me know when we do our Meet & Greet - I am fond of both! Expect lots of updates as I love taking pics of adorable pups!

Availability
I am available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with extremely limited availability Tuesdays and Thursday's. I’m busy 8-10 Sat and 10-1 on Sunday. I am back at the office and will be gone for 6-8h at a time.
