Hi! My name is Skyla, and I've loved many different pets over the years. Currently, I have a Shih Tzu named Sweet Pea, an indoor cat that wants to be an outdoor cat - her name is Mango, and two floppy bunnies, Buns & Pipkin. I also have the experience needed to take care of smaller birds and fish. I work a flexible job from the comfort of my own home, so your pet would almost always have a companion to spend their day with. While my cat doesn’t appreciate the company of dogs (she isn’t aggressive, just prefers to keep her distance) my Shih Tzu sure does! I would describe him as low to medium energy, but he loves hanging out with high energy dogs too. I’m a firm believer of using a leash, and I enjoy walking on both sidewalks and hiking trails. You let me know what kind of adventure your dog would like to have, and I’ll make it happen. If your dog doesn’t enjoy going for walks, I have a private fenced in yard they are always welcome to hang out in. I also live a short car ride away from a fenced in dog park, and if you and your pup are comfortable with that sort of environment, I’d love to take them there as well! I should also mention that I’m an absolute pro at filling food and water bowls, throwing a frisbee around, and keeping rebellious cats inside of houses. I enjoy taking photos, so you’re guaranteed to receive at least a few snapshots of your best friend while they spend time with me. I’d like to finish by saying that I do go out of town every now and then, and finding someone trustworthy to watch my pets stresses me out more than anything else. Anxieties and questions race through my head each and every time. Will they be nice to my dog? Will they make sure my cat stays inside? Will they make sure everyone is walked on time and fed properly? I can’t help it...when it comes to my animals, I’m a worrier. I do not want you to feel this way! I want you to feel safe and secure if you choose me to take care of your most valuable possessions. I want you to leave for your trip knowing that your best friend will be loved and well cared for. Please know that I’ve been in your exact position before, and I too struggle with all of the doubts that come along with hiring a stranger to take care of your animals. If you want hourly updates, or to call at three in the morning to check in, or even want to video chat with your pooch, I get it!
