I am a former Ranch hand for a rescue and rehabilitation ranch and I have had pets my entire life. I have cared for all types of animals big and small from cows, horses and llamas to chickens, rabbits and lizards and even the occasional fish. I grew up around dogs and cats and I am honored and excited to be caring for yours. I have been a pet and ranch sitter for all of my teen and adult years, I am the go to sitter for my family and friends as well as many of my neighbors. I have experience in many areas including but not limited to administering various medications, special needs, elderly animals, very young and newborn animals, feeding raw diets and first aid and cpr for pets. I am patient with people and animals as I know that I am a new person and you and your pets need time to get to know and trust me. My home is full of love and with plants, my two cats and a couple of smaller pets such as aquatic frogs and a leopard gecko. I always want to get to know both the pets and the owner before I start caring for new animals so everyone is comfortable and care instructions are clear and have been gone over. My goal is to make your pets as happy and comfortable as possible so it is like you never left home.

Skyla was not only on-time but even spared a little extra time because the dogs wanted to sniff around on their walk a little longer! She also made time to come over ahead of the very first booking to meet the dogs and me so we could all get acquainted and she could see where their leashes, bowls, and treats are kept. The dogs LOVE her, and we look forward to booking more walks, stop-ins, etc. with Skyla.
Skyla is the best kitty caretaker I could have hoped for. She is always on time and keeps me updated every step of the way. She administers insulin which allows my husband and I to travel without worries.
Skyla is reliable, responsible, and trustworthy! I am a paranoid pet owner and I’ve always been very particular with only letting close family or friends watch our animals. This was my first time hiring someone from a site like Rover, and Skyla quickly put all my worries at ease. She arrived for drop ins on time, read and followed my long list of instructions to a T, sent detailed reports and lots of pictures after each visit, and was so patient with my two extremely fearful cats. I’m so proud of the progress they made with Skyla and thankful for the great care they received. I will definitely be reaching out to Skyla for any of my future pet sitting needs!
Skyla has been great with our 3 cats! While we were away for two weeks she dropped in twice each day to feed and play with the kitties and her reports were thorough and very much appreciated! We have booked her again and know our three will be well cared for!

I have experience with large farm animals down to small caged pets from special needs intervention and care to hands off care. I practice safe introduction, safe walk techniques and double barrier methods when it comes to entrances and exits in the home. I take the necessary time to get to know you and your pets' needs and learn their body language and signs to ensure they have the best time with me possible. I also document everything, I love taking videos and pictures of how the pets are doing and how the stay is going. I will treat your pets like my own with love, affection and care.

I have a google form I will have you fill out before a meet and greet about your pet's personality, needs and health. The more information I have about your pet the more fun your pet and I can have.
A typical day
I love to have fun with the animals I care for. Whether that is long walks and playing fetch and tug of war or a shorter walk and snuggling on the couch together. I like to take dogs on walks in the areas they are familiar with as they tend to be more comfortable in their own neighborhood and I love seeing how excited they get when they see their house.

Availability
I have a very set work schedule, I do work a later shift so I work Wednesday- Sunday between 12:30 PM- 9 PM PST. I am happy to work with you and your pets needs and find the best times to drop in or walk your pets. My Mondays and Tuesdays are completely free and I am very flexible with times.
