Pet care experience
I have loved animals since I was young and that translates to all I do now. Throughout my life, I have cared for and trained many animals from puppy to elderly. I have experience with special needs pets, having owned and trained a three-legged pup and a deaf Great Dane growing up, I can administer medication if needed as well. I currently have an Australian Shepherd, so high-energy breeds are A-okay with me. I also have a 2 cats and a senior pup. Ive owned rabbits in the past, so no creature is too big, too small or too weird for me. I used to work with the Chicago Herpetological society so even reptiles and amphibians are on my list of critters to care for. I own my own home in Chesapeake Ranch Estates with a yard, nearby trails and beaches so there is plenty of room for your pup to run and play if they were to come stay with me!
Reviews
Skye was amazing with my very shy dogs. She made them feel loved and supported while their family was away. We will be using Skye again. Our dogs thoroughly enjoyed her visits.
Skye was amazing!! I was definitely a helicopter mom in the beginning as I've never left my pets alone unless with family but Skye was so great the whole time constantly checking in, being on time and my cats grew to trust her. She was also great with my fish and turtle, will definitely rebook with her again
Skye is awesome! She is so accommodating, flexible, trustworthy, and so great with my dogs and macaw. The dogs especially love her and seem to have so much fun when she cares for them!
So friendly and great with our dog! Will definite book with them again!

I have two dogs of my own that love company and extra friends so there is no shortage of human and animal company in my home. I'm always happy to visit your home for longer periods of time so that any extra needy/nervous/anxious pets can get the attention and care that they need. I definitely prefer to do meet&greets before caring for your pets, but in the event that isn't possible that's okay too. I have extra leashes, collars, crates, beds, treats and toys in my home so no worries if anything is forgotten. Your vet's information is always something I like to have at hand as well.
Information Skye M. would like to know about your pet
Any commands, special tricks or quirks, and food restrictions I'm happy to learn. Special needs/care is also important to me and any behavioral issues your pet may have as well (anxious, no men, no kids, no dogs, etc). If any medication is needed, times and dosage will be pertinent information.
A typical day
All pets will get the attention and activity they need. Everyone is different so there is no shortage of options. From games to walks to dog park to the beach or even short training sessions, I'm happy to do whatever they need to be stimulated and happy. Lounging around is also always welcome as well if that's what they need.

Availability
I am currently alternating between teleworking and going into the office so at least a day's notice before bookings is ideal so I can work out if I'll be having to go into the office or not. I'm happy to try and figure something out on short notice though! I am also pregnant so my availability may become more limited as things progress, but that's definitely something we can discuss if needed. When working in office I'm usually gone from 8am-4pm (ish). Weekends are generally free all day as well. My fiancé also works remote full time so there is always someone home in my house.
