Pet care experience
A client should choose me to take care of their dog because I have a whole lot of experience! That, and I’m extremely friendly and responsible with animal care. Since I was toddler, I've been around animals. I've had cats, dogs, and guinea pigs. I've had the great advantage in helping around a cousin's farm in Ireland. He had a young barn cat and a beautiful old shepherding dog, used for cattle. I walked a lot of dogs in NYC too. They can be a challenge to care for. We had fostered one puppy, Rocky, for three years. I trained him myself. I regularly animal-sat, boarded, walked, and cared for my friends' animals. I have also volunteered in the rehabilitation of feral/abused dogs and cats (in the Catskills).

We prefer taking care of smaller breeds. Is the dog OK with cats? We have 2. How often should I walk the dog? Any medications for the dog? What's the dog's favorite game to play?
A typical day
For the first walk, we would go around the neighbourhood to become familiar with it. If it is a regularly scheduled walk, we would start to explore the areas as time goes on! I like to go on adventures. Long walks through woods, lingering over interesting areas, and even jogging. I always feel safe with a dog by my side! We will definitely be looking at a lot of stuff, and sniffing around for all kinds of things-- everything except trouble! I can take cute pictures of your dog to send them to you. I can also run with your dog, because I know sometimes they love to frolic. I can bring them to doggy parks (with your permission). We'll pick flowers together and leave them on your counter when we get home. : -)
