Your pets home away from home!

Pet care experience

AS OF NOW DROP-IN VISITS ARE ONLY FOR CAT CLIENTS. I have taken care of puppies who needed to be bottle fed to seniors who need help getting around. I worked and volunteered my time at multiple Animal Shelters since 2008. I also have experience working as a Veterinary Assistant. In 2017 I was Certified as a Basic Dog Trainer. I will be available all day and night at my home during your pets stay with me. A regular day looks like: 6 a.m. - morning potty break Between 6-10 a.m. - breakfast and *play time, nap or walk 10 a.m. - potty break Between 10-2 p.m. - *play time, nap or walk 2 p.m. - potty break Between 2-6 p.m. - *playtime, nap or walk 6 p.m. - potty break Between 6-10 p.m. - dinner and relax before bedtime 10 p.m. - potty break then bedtime *activity is decided on your dogs needs and weather conditions This is just a generic schedule, it can be tweaked for your dogs particular schedule and needs. If your dog has a lot of energy we can be more active. If your dog is in its senior years, disabled or not high energy we can just relax and watch movies while playing with toys or napping. What ever stage in life your pet is in I aim to meet those needs during it's stay with me. I have a fenced yard so we can have lots of play time safely outside. On hot days I have a dog sprinkler and dog pool so they can cool off. If your pet is outside so am I. My house has tile through out so I'm prepared for messes. If your dog is a senior and has a hard time walking on these types or floors let me know and I will roll out the rugs for them. My husband works during the day but he will be an extra friend to play with after work and on weekends. I have two senior cats but they have their own room in case your dog and my cats don't get along, they can be separated. I also have a 3 year old spayed female dog who is energetic so if your dog likes to play she is ready. If you have a senior dog don't worry she has been around multiple senior dogs and knows when to leave them alone.

Skye was great with Hank, he seemed to feel right at home and came home tired and happy. I will certainly leave Hank with Skye again as she keeps on top of everything.

Our pups had another excellent stay with Skye! My family and I were able to enjoy our vacation knowing they were in such great hands!

We could not have been more happy with our first experience leaving our pup with Skye. Her and her husband were so patient with him, as it was his first time to be boarded anywhere, checking in regularly with me and providing updates and pictures of his time with them.

Information Skye H. would like to know about your pet

New Clients: I require a meet and greet. I provide a folder at the meet and greet that includes a Pet Information Form that allows me to know your pet in more depth. Feel free to add anything else you think I should know that may not be included on the form. The more I know the better. I also recommend a trial overnight while you are in town before your booking to insure no major problems arise being in a new environment. I am not a boarding facility so it's a lot harder to manage a pet that is not happy being here. Trial overnights rates are discounted at half off. Vaccinations, Flea & Heartworm: All Pets must be current on their vaccinations. This includes: Rabies, Bordetella and DHLPP. All Pets must be on Flea/Tick & Heartworm prevention. Must bring a copy of up to date Vaccination Record. Must also show proof of purchase of Flea/Tick & Heartworm preventative. If Vaccination Record is not received 7 days before first day of your pets stay, your booking will be canceled. Contagious Disease: If your pet(s) have a contagious disease it is up to you to make other arrangements for your pet as they will no longer be allowed to stay at my house. You will be eligible to receive a refund for your scheduled booking. If I am not informed of contagious disease I will notify your Emergency Contact to come pick up your pet(s). If they refuse to pick up your pet(s) then Rover will get involved or I will schedule your pet(s) to stay at a veterinary clinic that you will then be liable to pay for. You will NOT receive a refund. Injuries and Medical Conditions: You must disclose all Injuries and Medical conditions your dog(s) have prior to being dropped off. Failure to do so can lead to a cancelation of your booking and prevent you from being able to make any future bookings with me in the future. You will NOT receive a refund. Other Information: All dogs must be crate trained. This is for their safety in case they need to be left alone for a short period of time. All dogs will wear an Air Tag while in my care. This is for their safety in case they happen to run off it can help me find them. Negative Reinforcement Corrective Collars are not allowed on the dog(s) while in my care. Prong Collars, Choke Collars, Shock Collars, Bark Collars, etc. will be taken off. Gentle Leaders, Harnesses etc. are okay and preferred for walks. You must provide proper bedding for your dog(s). I have my own Pet Insurance through PCI (PET CARE Insurance) as well as Rover Guarantee.

A typical day

Different activities I like to do with my dog and dogs in my care vary on what they can or like to do. If your dog is high energy we can go on walks and play outside. If your dog is low energy we can go on a bike ride (they ride in a dog carriage), goof around outside or inside with toys. If your dog is not able to do too much then they can just sniff around outside during potty breaks and take naps. Just let me know what you and your dog normally do and I will try my hardest to meet those needs.
