Pet care experience
I follow positive reinforcement training. I grew up with having German shepherd, Maltese, Yorkie, poodles, shitzus and now a corgi. I believe in an open roaming environment and generally take dogs out every 4-6 hours for walks. If you are puppy training I can follow crate training as well. Please bring an item of yourself for your pup to have to transition boarding time so they have a scent of you. Let me know if there's any special feeding instructions. Or any quirks about your dog (i.e my dog is an introvert)
Reviews
Skye would watch my cat for me when I would have to travel out of town or be away for more than a few days. She is an excellent communicator when she provides updates and is quick to keep me posted on my sweet Kitty’s needs!
Skye H. cancelled a booking 4 days before it was scheduled to begin.

In the morning I take my dog and yours out for a short hour long hike (weather permitting). I have lots of toys and if you have any special requests for food, pill medications or routines I'll like to follow them as closely as possible. My own dog tends to eat too fast and gets hungry so I freeze dehydrated food for her with blueberries inside the kongs. I will send daily photos and updates of what we've done together. I also can trim nails with a Dremel grinder. Please provide a harness so I can clip them when we go for hiking walks. In the winter I shorten the hour to 30 minutes and have a jacket for my dog if it's cold but doable. If it's too cold outside I generally do 10 minute short relieve walks and puzzles + playtime inside.

Any quirks, dislikes, things I should watch out for (i.e my dog gets triggered by squirrels on walks and dislikes huskies). I will need a harness for each dog An item from your household to transition boarding easier with their favorite human scent on it. Usually a blanket with your feet glands scent over it (no socks!) Up to date on current vaccination records, fleas & tick meds, and heartworm
A typical day
Dogs tend to be out in nature and enjoy it and I'll like to take them on morning hike walks &/ late night ones weather permitting. Closest trail I'll take them is Hartsdale which is a relatively flat 1.25 mile walk. Special occasions, usually on weekends or if I'm done with work early I'll head to Gedney Park and spend 2-3 hours there since I can off leash my dog and use a retractable one for yours. Indoors I'll have lots of toys I wash weekly and puzzles.

Availability
I work from home and I'm available to watch your dog all day and take them out on walks. I believe in a long morning walk so the dog can rest during the day and a short walk to relieve themselves midday. At night will be another long walk before bedtime.
