Pet care experience
Animals are seriously my life! I have always had pets growing up as a child and my love for them has grown into my adulthood even more. I have a passion for learning and understanding all different types of animals. My experience in Pet Care is from my very first job at a pet store where I was employed for 6 years, having my own pets and caring for family, friends and volunteering over the years. I also plan to hopefully pursue my interest in animal behavior and get my dog training certification.

Skye stayed house-sat with our big buddy Wally over the Christmas and New Years holiday, she was fantastic! We felt so comfortable with Skye and it was wonderful to be able to go on an overseas vacation knowing that she was there. She was a great communicator and is a true animal lover; she also brought the mail in and left the house neat as a pin! We will book her again for sure!
Skye is not only an animal lover, but has been a dog mom almost her whole life. She is so caring and has always been willing to help take care of pets. For example, my brother moved to another country and while he was getting everything set up over there, she took in his dog, Riley, for a few weeks. Skye took her on walks and to dog parks and even brought her with when she had to go out of town. Skye also has experience with a few “exotic” animals, as she was a key member at a pet supplies store. For example: birds, reptiles, fish, and other furry friends. When it comes to pets, Skye has always been responsible and professional.
Skye is a very caring and lovable animal person. She has a sweet spot for animals like a lot of us do, but she would love any pet as if they were her own. She is kind, punctual, caring, responsible, and diverse with breeds. I would trust Skye and her skill set with any pet of mine and I would recommend her to anyone looking for some extra care for their pets. As a bonus, Skye will spoil them with extra love too!

I understand having somebody new care for you fur baby can be stressful! As a crazy dog mom of two goldens I have always struggled being able to find a caring pet provider that I trust. But that is exactly why I want to start this business. I don't just walk and feed your dogs, but I care for them as if they are my own! This is a true passion of mine!

I think some important information to know about a dog ahead of time are their likes and dislikes, what makes them the most comfortable, and what are some of their favorite things to do. It's also helpful to know their behaviors and any triggers that they might have so that way we can adjust our day to make sure they are having the most fun in a comfortable setting.
A typical day
I absolutely love being outside. Weather permitting, we will be exploring the great outdoors! My most favorite nearby places are Homer Lake and Lake of the Woods. I would love to create some memories with your fur babies in these special places.

Availability
My schedule is extremely flexible. I usually work 10am-4pm Tuesday through Saturday, but I have the ability to switch things around and take time off often and with short notice if it is needed. My goal is to eventually provide and connect with animals full time. Having three fur babies of my own, I understand the needs that must be met.
