Pet care experience
I have been taking care of animals from an early age and ended up following my love of animals into veterinary medicine. I believe in treating every pet with the love, patience, and compassion, they deserve. I have been pet sitting for years, typically in-home, extended stays for multiple pet households. Having a 20 year background in veterinary medicine allows me to care for pets with more advanced medical needs and allows you to be away from home knowing your pet is in good hands. Your pet feeling safe, secure, and loved is my main priority. I am not opposed to cuddles, slobbery kisses, long walks, and extra treats (with your approval of course). Leaving your fur baby doesn't have to be stressful, and it won't be if you choose me to care for them.

I do my best to learn and implement each families daily routine to lessen the pets stress levels. I do not let pets out unattended or take dogs to areas off leash. Essentially, whatever the pet parent wants, the pet parent gets!

I like to know about their behaviors and personality so I can tailor my services to each pet. Are they shy and need someone to give them space and go slow until they feel safe? Are they all bark and no bite? Do they eat everything in sight, we may do a toy head count each day!
A typical day
Depending on the families normal routine and or approval for activities, I love taking dogs walking on local trails or the beach, if they prefer to stay close to home that's fine too. Walks in the neighborhood can be just as exciting!

Availability
I currently work 4-10 hour days a week but have a very flexible schedule. Depending on the length of the stay I am more than happy to take time off to stay at home with your pet full time. I am off at 5:30 daily and have no other obligations, I fully commit to your family and your pets when I am pet sitting.
