Pet care experience
My son and I have been around dogs our entire lives. I grew up a junior handler in the dog show circuit and was responsible for 13 dogs as a child, as well as several litters of pups. We bred and showed our dogs to championship status. I have literally only gone 1 month without a dog in my world, typically two or more! We are experienced in dealing with scared, shy, formerly abused or traumatized pups and we love 'em up just as much as the happy go lucky, spoiled rotten pups. :-) Bottom line, we love animals of ALL kinds, our dogs are part of our family and we know how stressful it can be to have to be away from our fur-friends for any extended length of time. We will love on your babies as if they are our own.

Dogs must be good with kids as my teenaged son may be with me when we care for your pet. He is excellent with dogs and would love to play fetch or just hang with your pet. He will not be walking any dogs, as that would be my responsibility, but he may be with me.
A typical day
We will treat your pet like our own. We love to snuggle and play fetch. Take walks. All the usual. We can meet a dog wherever they are. If they are more high energy we will focus on playtime. If they are low key couch potatoes, we will enjoy an episode of our favorite binge-worthy series together on TV.

Availability
I work from home and this generally allows me flexibility with home visit times however I do have a responsibility to my job as well and may request some flexibility on visit times to work around meetings and the like. I will not take a Rover job that directly conflicts with a work activity but sometimes have to have a 15-30 minute grace period during the weekdays.
