Pet care experience
My career is an animal husbandry(cleaning and care) based job in which I am in charge of making sure the animals under my charge have the best conditions possible. These animals include a variety of avian, reptiles and mammal animals, many of which are pet animals. I've house sat for many friends and family pets many times ever since I was little. My family has always had many pets that I helped care for as well, including many cats and dogs. I personally care for cats, dogs, reptiles and birds.

Sky is awesome!!! She took excellent care of our cat Phoebe for the past 11 days. Being away so long especially during the holidays could have been super stressful but our minds were at ease knowing Sky was housesitting for Phoebe (& our house! She kept the water pipes from freezing during the recent arctic blast with sub-zero temps)!!! Sky sent us lots of videos & photos and it was comforting seeing

I am very patient with animals. I prioritize safety and choice-based decisions for the critters, making them as comfortable as possible. I often will try to use treats or attention as positive reinforcers to encourage the desired response if the animal is not listening. I often check around for safety hazards to the animals and ensure that the yards are secure.

If there are special needs I am happy to take care of them while your best friend is in my care! At my job I provide needed medical attention to my ambassador animals, and tend to specialize in health-related situations!
A typical day
I like to take dogs to walk at local parks, close by hikes or around the neighborhood. If the dog is playful, I love to play with the dogs in whatever way they prefer (fetch, tug of war, etc).

I work full time but have a very flexible job. I can often stop by before and after work and can make additional stops necessary if needed.
