Skaeya is just one of those people who just *gets* animals. Every dog I've ever seen her with has loved her immediately. The cats too, even the one that doesn't really like strangers. The dog will listen to her commands and respect her authority. And then when she switches to play and cuddle mode and she's on the floor with her and dog brings her toys to her, soaking up all the attention she lavishes on them. She's so good at sensing their need, and Skaeya clearly likes to be around them as much as they like her. With the shy cat that hides under the bed - she says, OK, I'll bring a book and sit on the floor by the bed for a few hours to show kitty I'm ok, just incase she wants attention. Skaeya just cares for all animals like that. There was someone else's dog loose in the backyard while she was petsitting - so she gets our pets inside, and then befriends the loose dog to get a leash on him and get a pone number from the tags, finds the owner and gets that dog home safety too. The neighbor was so relieved, couldn't believe she was able to catch their spaztic dog. She's patient and has that kind of animal sense. And calm even when the animals are chaotic. Our poor old kitty needs medication and but spits them out- no problem she says, I can make sure they go down, and if he gets to stressed at first try again awhile later if he spits out the pills, we'll figure it out (we being her and the cat). AND the cat still loved to cuddle with her even when she was the one giving the dreaded medication. She was also great with the plants that needed some water, just as good with the house as she is with the animals. She is family so she watched the animals even as a youngster, but she set the bar so high I want her to be the one to petsit my animals forever!! I've paid other professional petsitters way more money and never feels like have ever found the care that Skaeya offers.

Vinxy absolutely adores her time w Skaeya and doesn’t want to come home! She is pampered and loved in her care! We trust her implicitly!
