Caring, reliable, and responsible

Pet care experience

Hello, my name is Siri! Dogs are my passion and I am an all breed, all age dog lover. I am available to provide walks and/or drop-in visits with your dog at your home. Your dog may be walked together with my own dog (a female 4 year old Bernese Mountain Dog), so good dog:dog socialization skills are a must, as well as being up to date with shots, immunizations, and flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. I would love to meet your dog and make a new canine friend! Please contact me to schedule a meet and greet. RATES: Walks and in-home checks: 30 minutes/$25 MY PUPPY POLICY: Puppies are the best! However, in order for me to work with them and for their overall health and safety, the puppy must be at least 6 months old and have received all of their puppy shots and vaccinations from their veterinarian. Once these two requirements have been met, we can schedule a meet and greet. SERVICE AREA: I provide dog walking services in the towns Amesbury and Newburyport only. A NOTE ABOUT PICTURES: As a walker with your dog, I reserve the right to take photos (of your dog) and share them on Rover.com and other social media sites. Absolutely NO personal or other identifying informtion will be shared. MORE ABOUT ME: In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and our dog, Shelby. I also like to go antique fair browsing, hiking, gardening, and exercising.

Siri adores all dogs and animals. They are her passion and this is obvious when you first meet her. She asks great, thorough questions upon meeting a new dog/family and always puts their needs first. She is patient and kind and actively and positively engages with my dog. She has a background with working with shelter dogs and has taken dog courses through the SPCA to further assist her in her work with dogs and animal care. Siri is friendly, caring, reliable and responsible. I would definitely recommend her to care for any dog.

Siri is a true animal lover and a loving dog caregiver. She takes the time to build relationships with animals and has a gift for understanding their unique personality and needs. Siri's conscientious and responsible character along with her concern for an animal's well-being and happiness make her an ideal dog sitter. I cannot recommend her with more enthusiasm and confidence! Elizabeth MacLennan Brooklyn, NY

Information Siri B. would like to know about your pet

Here are a few questions I would typically ask during a meet and greet: ~How is your dog socially? With people strangers? Kids? Other dogs? ~How would you describe your dog in a few adjectives? ~Are there any medical issues that I should be aware of? E.g., history of seizures, dog is diabetic, dog is prone to ear infections, etc. ~Are there any allergies (food and/or environmental)? ~How much (and what kind of) exercise does your dog currently receive daily? E.g., walking, running, swimming, hiking, doggy day care, etc. ~When home alone, where does the dog stay? E.g., dog has full reign of the house, is crated, is in a pen, etc. ~Are there any unique behaviors that I should be mindful of? E.g., dog should be crated in car, dog is territorial with toys/food, etc.

A typical day

With your dog, there are many things we may do together. We may explore a dog friendly park in the area, hike a local trail (or just walk your neighborhood), practice basic commands, have time for some snuggles and affection at your home, and enjoy lots of belly rubs and tasty treats.
