Pet care experience
I have been so blessed to have had many dogs (and a couple cats) over the past 20 years - all of which are missed to this day. Over that time I have had 4 family dogs and 2 cats (Sammy - rescue, Max - black lab, Bailey - weimaraner, Rufus - kerry blue terrier foster puppy as well as Seb and Nala - elderly tabby cat and bengal kitten). Sadly due to family circumstance and university, I haven’t been able to have my own since but I have been fortunate enough to be trusted with the care of many of my friends and family friends dogs which has brought me so much joy. I have taken care (housesitting and in my own home) of these pets during their owners holidays. Responsibilities being walking, feeding, giving regular pill form medication, bathing and regular enrichment playtime as well as a small amount of puppy training. The largest dog I've taken care of was a Rough Collie and I am comfortable caring for large dogs as long as they are properly trained and not too reactive as I have a relatively small frame.
Reviews
Couldn’t recommend Simi enough. We were so nervous to leave Connie with a new person for walks, but Simi really took the time to do a meet and greet, and understand Connie and what works for her. She was super communicative, and most importantly, you can see how much Connie loved spending time with her - such lovely photos every day. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Simi again!
Simran walked our dog Tucker and at the meet and greet, she was really engaging and knowledgeable about dog care and training. Will definitely book her again!
Simran took care of our pup who’s a 10 week old shih tzu. She was very affectionate to the pup and the pup loved her too. We were away for 10 hours and she was very professional in sending us pics of our pup all throughout and keeping us posted on how he’s getting along. Thank you Simran for taking care of our puppy!
To whom this may concern, I’ve worked with Simran on many occasions, as she used to look after my Staffordshire terrier when I went away and was at work. She was brilliant and he loved her. She would also house sit for me and look after my dog, Rom. He adored her and loved it when she came round! I felt really reassured knowing how happy she made Rom and how at ease he was around her. I trusted her entirely with Rom and she was just so great. She was always on time and really reliable. I would absolutely recommend Simran and I know Rom and I hope she will come pet sit for us again! Please feel free to contact me for any more information as Simran is brilliant and I know she’ll make a great addition to your team! Best wishes, Claire

Communication
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
I will make sure to have as much communication as possible before the visit to ensure I fully understand what is expected of me and then I will follow up with hourly photo and text updates if that is something the owner would like. Unfortunately, I won't be providing services within my own home right now as we are currently taking care of a rabbit.
Information Simran D. would like to know about your pet
Most important to me is specific behaviours to cater to / how best to avoid dependant on the dog and their history (I have experience with reactive and anxious rescues). As well as this, a brief medical history (if relevant) in case of emergency and how they fair around other animals to make sure for the best walking experience. Once those are out of the way, I love to know what their ideal day would look like as well as what their favourite toys and games are to ensure the best visit.
A typical day
I like to identify what your dogs ideal day would be beforehand so that I can offer the best possible service and build a good relationship with them in case of repeated visits. Lots of walks will be on the cards and hopefully some socialising with other dogs. I love incorporating enrichment play into visits, especially in owners homes so that your pet becomes accustomed to someone new engaging with them within their environment. If you do not own specific enrichment toys (that's fine!), I am used to using their favourite toy (or slipper sometimes) and occasionally treats to play games such as hide and seek with them. I have a very large radius of areas I take requests from so it's hard to pinpoint one specific place. I spend most of my downtime on Hampstead Heath so that would be my most special place for walks but I understand that some owners would rather the safety of being in a smaller park with less animals around in case of reactive pets.

Availability
I am currently working part-time with a flexible schedule so when Rover requests come in - they will most likely be my priority! I would eventually like to go full time with dog care once I have enough formal experience so this is my next step to playing with your furry friends everyday hopefully.
