I'm a responsible 4th year graduate student with a very flexible schedule that currently allows me to work on my research full-time from home. I adore animals and have been a pet-owner all my life to numerous cats and dogs, and would be happy to care for your animals large and small (not just limited to dogs!!) I've also been a foster parent to many young and sick animals from SPCA shelters, and volunteered at my local SPCA directly for over 2 years as a dog walker and cat socializer. I love exercising and being outside in all seasons, and would be thrilled to take your animals along with me for whichever adventures possible. I can highly recommend Simone for dog, cat and housesittng. First and most importantly Simone is warm, kind, personable and smart. Her communication skills are superb. Our dog, Lucy, requires some time to get to know and trust her sitters. Simone took this time over several visits, asked good questions and tenderly befriended Lucy. She then provided several overnight stays before staying for five nights in our home to take care of Lucy and our cat, Milo. She sent great photos, didn't hesitate to text with questions and left our home immaculate. Lucy was a bit fussy at the beginning of her stay and Simone promptly notified me and asked for suggestions which she successfully followed through with. Both pets seemed extremely content when we returned. We are so grateful to have met Simone through Rover!
Simone is fantastic! She is punctual, friendly and warm, and extremely responsive - she took incredible care of my two pups while I was away for the weekend and send me periodic updates by text. Dogs were healthy and happy when I returned and I definitely plan to ask her to come sit for them in the future!
I can highly recommend Simone as a responsible, patient, and conscientious animal care-giver. Be it cats or dogs, she can be counted on to follow a pet-owners instructions without fail, giving love and full attention to their furry loved ones.

No breed preferences. It would be helpful to know about any potential behavioral issues in advance, and whether or not the dog does well with children, specific genders, other animals, etc. However, I also have experience with 'VIP' animals and can definitely be flexible about any of the above :)
A typical day
I am a big fan of jogging (short and long distance) and hiking, and would love to take your animal exploring all the dog-friendly trails and walkways in the area with me! I also love visiting local streams and swimming holes when whether permits, and would be happy to take any swim-loving dogs along with me. Dogs are definitely welcome in the back seat of my car (an AWD Subaru) at all times. In my free time, I also love cooking, dancing, skiing, and supporting local businesses.
