Life-long dog lover and caretaker
Pet care experience
I have over 15 years of experience caring for dogs as a dog owner, sitter, and foster. I have cared for dogs of all ages with a variety of needs and challenges. I began learning about dog training and behavior as a teenager through my participation in Dog 4-H with my miniature long-haired Dachshund, Bella. I have since expanded on that knowledge through plenty of research and training mentorships. I'm well versed in dog behavior and body language, and make it a priority to care for both a dog's physical and mental well being. I'm comfortable walking multiple dogs at a time, monitoring doggie play sessions, and giving medications.
Reviews
Such a wonderful person and caretaker for our dog. Trustworthy and caring. We always love when Simone is free to walk and watch our pup!
Simone was amazing! This was our second time with Simone watching our fur baby and he has a great time every time! I really feel like Simone and her partner treat Finn like he is one of their own!
Simone was a great with Parker. Communication was great and Parker had a great time in their home.
Simone was so accommodating with my last minute reservation! She sent so many adorable pictures and videos of Finn and her pups, which put me at ease for my first time leaving my doggie with a sitter. She treated my baby like one of her own. I definitely look forward to booking with her again!

Your dog will be able to spend the day with me in my home office and around the house in between backyard playtime, and walks around the neighborhood. My two small dogs love to play with new friends. I would love to keep your dog on whatever schedule they are used to to help them adjust to my home. Your dog will enjoy my collection of cozy dog beds, various squeaky plush toys, a variety of chewing materials, and treats for tricks and good behavior. If your dog struggles to get up onto the furniture, I have doggie steps to help.
Information Simone L. would like to know about your pet
It's important that your dog is good with other dogs since I have two of my own. I can only accommodate spayed and neutered dogs since my dog Barry doesn't like unneutered males, and likes unspayed females a little TOO much! My other dog Molly, is only 5.5 lbs, and prefers to spend time with other small dogs that know how to respect her space and small size, so I will not be able to accommodate puppies under 1 year, or dogs larger than 15 lbs. If your dog is fixed, small, and friendly, they will be best friends with my dogs in no time! Let me know if your dog has any special needs, quirky behaviors, or favorite activities so I can make sure to accommodate them!
A typical day
I'm happy to accommodate whatever energy level and activity your dog prefers. For energetic dogs, we can play tug, fetch, and go to a fenced park to let your dog RUN! If your dog is more low key, we can have plenty of cuddle time on the couch.

Availability
Currently I work mostly from home, and go into the office 3 days a week from 2-7pm. My fiance, Michael, has a flexible work schedule and is able to come home from work to care for the dogs shortly after I leave. There is usually never more than a 2-hour window that the dogs are home alone. When the dogs do need to be left alone, they are separated with baby gates to ensure everyone’s safety. I also play calming dog music to help everyone be relaxed during this window. Let me know if your dog has any special needs around being left alone so that I can be sure to accommodate them.
