When dog sitting at another home, I will make sure to follow the pets routine closely to not disrupt their day and to make them as comfortable with me as possible. I’ll also be very attentive to their behaviour and respond in the best manner possible. Animals can get nervous or anxious when meeting new people and it’s so important to build trust for them to feel okay and happy!

I will need to know what they do and don’t like, to make sure they are safe but also anyone surrounding them. Any specific medication or when feeding routine would be great help. Also details such as if they are allowed off the leads, recall words etc…
A typical day
Typically I take dogs two long walks a day, depending on their size and character I will pick specific locations, routes, and distances to suit their needs. Whilst on the walk I will have a play with them, if their owners have any specific toys I will use them so make it even more enjoyable.

My routine fits around the care of my pets, as a student it’s easy for me to be flexible and I can always make sure that i am free of responsibility when it comes to the animals so that my attention is solely on them.
