Hey there! I’ve been a pet owner for over 20 years - always German Shepherds and have babysat/ cared for numerous of my friends animals as well. My love for animals is unconditional, and whenever I’m walking around anywhere and see a dog I’m always the first to ask if I can stop and pet him/her. Pets are family members - I treat them with as much respect as I would treat any human! My previous German Shepherd, Rocky, passed away from Osteosarcoma and I am still sad to this day (it’s been over 7 years since his passing). He became my best friend the moment my dad brought him home, and I know that all pet owners look at their animals the way I do with mine. All pets deserve to be treated like family members, and that’s what I plan to do!

Simone has always been the first to ask whether she can dog sit when we would go out of town. She sent us photos, videos and would ask if it was okay if our little guy was allowed extra treats for being such a good man. Simone is the person who we always drop off Sven to when we need a sitter. Highly recommend

While I don’t have a fenced yard, my schedule is open enough where I can provide walks/ additional needs every 60 minutes. Does your animal love napping on the bed? Whose doesnt - they can nap on mine too while I work at my computer! I am fully confident in crate training if that is something that you are currently working on with your pet as well.

Information Simone C. would like to know about your pet
I love any and all animals (except for spiders - I’ve never understood how this is a pet?!). ! I would like to know any aggression, how they react to being around other dogs/ if they have ever been in a physical altercations, specific feeding times, any dietary restrictions/ needs and anything else you feel is important! Is your animal friendly with young children? This is a must as I have a 4 year old daughter who also adores animals (start em young!) I believe this is more up to the pet owner so if there is something you feel is necessary to know please feel free to advise!
A typical day
We live in the Okanagan so of course we are going to go to Knox Mountain, the dog beach, Mission Creek Greenway and stop and get a pup cup at Starbucks (if this is approved, of course!). Not only is this ideal for the dogs sake, it also is for our mental health too! A typical day with me includes lots of cuddles, hourly close by walks/ potty breaks as needed and a big hike as soon as I am done my work shift! Since I have the flexibility of working from home, there is no alone time for any animal!

Availability
I am currently working full-time Monday to Friday from home so I am looking to help out during the evenings and weekends. However, my apartment is open for your furry friend(s) to stay at my place as I have a park close by and can provider walks every 60 minutes as well as potty breaks. Then after work is where the fun begins. My schedule is always open for Mission Creek, Knox Mountain, Spion Koop and beach drives!
