Super loving Dog-dad and Son Team
Pet care experience
Dogs have a part of my whole life from boyhood to now. I have raised dogs from puppies, adopted dogs in need of a new place and rescued our latest from a southern kill shelter. I've trained puppies, tired out energetic teen dogs :) and taken care of old "babies" with lots of individual needs (shots, pills, baths, diapers, etc). Dogs to me are not space holders or accessories. I make life decisions around what will best accommodate not just me and my people family but our two dogs as well. I prioritize a full happy healthy life for my pups just the same as I do for the people I love. I do have a past tragic experience where I entrusted one of my pups to an animal hospital and through negligent care she did not survive that time. It broke my heart then and still does but in the context of my looking after someone else's pet/family member I do not take the task lightly nor will I be lax in how I look after their needs because I have felt first hand the result of carelessness and oversight. Visiting with my son and I your dogs will receive the same care and affection and attention that we have for our own pack. We are at this time offering only pet boarding because I do work full time at my own business. The upside to this is that I invite any boarders to accompany myself and my two dogs to work/play/swim on Squam Lake with us where we do property management. My dogs have traveled with me to work nearly every single day. If they are looking lazy or like they need a day off or its too hot or cold then they are welcome to stay home but I can't recall the last time I didn't have a truck full of dogs commuting with me. I make my own schedule so if you have a dog who would be happier spending the day at home then I can shorten my day to accommodate whatever timelines they are used to. And they are welcome to have my pups stay home for company as I'm sure my eldest would happily occupy a couch for a day as her favorite place is relaxing in the truck these days. But if they liked the exercise and stimulation of joining us I maintain second and summer homes, primarily on a long single lane private dirt road on Squam Lake. My dogs are off leash all day but monitored by myself as I go about our day. I can make provisions if your pups wanted the outing but aren't responsible off leash or wander too far. Swimming is encouraged. Its an all the sticks you can chew buffet. Chipmunks abound for chasing. There are occasionally a few other friendly dogs to meet if desired but I am also able to preserve a visitors personal space/privacy if needs be. The vast majority of my work environment is no where near any speedy roads but on those rare occasions where we are close to cars I make sure proper safety precautions are taken. I would never put my dogs or yours at risk. Swimwear is optional and not included. My dogs swim in just collars but if your dogs are modest bathing attire is allowed. I live in Plymouth with a large back yard and in ground pool that is dog friendly. I don't have a fence regrettably but I would not allow your dog out unmonitored. My dogs know their boundaries and tend to help guide others to the best sniffs and potty places. There are horses next door with an electric fence, the horses are friendly, the fence we tend to avoid. Out of the back yard is the railroad bed and a frequent evening jaunt is the roughly 2 mile walk down and back as he sun goes down. If its early enough and warm enough we have been known to go down through the fields to the Baker river for a quick cool off. In the winter I cross country ski it with pups. And as we get into fall if a pooch has a lot of energy they need to burn off after the railroad bed there is a network of mountain biking trails that I'm happy to take any guests for some extra running on while I pedal. In addition to myself and my two pups (Ella 3 year old Shiba Inu mix and Carmelita 13 year old chocolate Lab) I have my 9 year old son on a biweekly schedule. I am truly blessed that of all the traits he got from me, his love and empathy for dogs is likely the strongest. He has never met a dog he doesn't fawn over and play with and goof with and they tend to find him to be one of their own and nibble and kiss and sit on him without hesitation. Visitor pups may also be fortunate enough to meet or even go for a top down jeep ride with my girlfriend whom, it is no surprise to me, must have a very beautiful soul because dogs adore her. Or she carries bacon in her pockets. But I've never found any in the laundry so it seems like the soul one.

The best Rover experience we have ever had!! Our dog is usually so anxious when we leave him but he had a wonderful time with
Murray has the best time with Simon. It is so clear how much he loves dogs and takes excellent care of our furry friend when we are away. Thanks for another excellent visit to summer camp!
Simon was very accommodating with our changing schedule and took great care to make sure that our dog felt comfortable in his home and with his dogs. He treated our pup like one of the family and he got lots of love while we were away! I think it was like summer camp for our dog!
Simon is the best and our go to for our dog care. They’re always smiley happy (tired) ups when we pick up The best part is they get super excited once they realize where they are headed! That’s a big vote of confidence for me!
