I volunteered at my university's animal shelter (BUPAWS Turkey) for a whole semester during my bachelor's degree for my community service course and continued to do so after my course was finished. I walked shelter dogs every week for hours, fed them, cleaned their shelters and more so I developed care and love for these little beings. I had my current cat Akira since 2020 and ever since then I have learned so much about how to care for cats both physically and mentally. Since I could not bring him from my home country, I have lots of love to give to other animals because taking care of an animal had become a daily blessing for me back in Turkey. I used to look after one of my peer's cat every two weeks at his house since he had to go on work trips for 6 months so I know how to get used to other people's pets too. I would also walk out my best friend's dog when she had classes so I am also experienced at that. I am interested in spending actual genuine time with both cats and dogs instead of just being in a room with them!
