Pet care experience
I've been pet sitting for 12 years, cats, dogs, and even an iguana! The animals spend 24 hours a day with me, and I try to give them the best vacation possible. I have a pet sitting instagram @silkepetsits where I post daily updates for anyone who'd like to see what they are up to!

“She’s a lab so does she eat a lot of stuff from the ground?” That’s how I knew Silke was the real deal - she asked such great questions about my Labrador, Harper during our meet and greet, I was put totally at ease leaving my dog in her care. Silke has a great setup for dogs and it’s clear from the way she interacts with each pet and owner she takes it seriously. She cared for Harper over Thanksgiving and I appreciated all the good walks she got in and cuddle time too! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Silke to anyone looking for a caring and highly competent dog sitter!
Silke is the absolute best pet auntie / caregiver you could ever want - I always leave my golden and cat with her, where they probably have a better time than they do at home. She's always gone above and beyond to take care of the critters, and there's nobody I'd rather have watching my fur children.

I have a fenced yard for early morning and late night bathroom visits, and live close to multiple parks for lengthy walks and sniff adventures. The house is 3 stories, and I have many sleeping and playing spaces set up for dogs and cats.

A typical day
I adapt my schedule to give pets the best experience when they are with me. If they are a couch potato, I love to cuddle, if they are more active, I make sure to take dogs on a bunch of adventures multiple times a day to sniff around and exercise together, and for cats, I keep a lot of toys to keep them engaged and enjoying their time with me.

I work full time in a dog friendly office, so dogs come with me to work and I adapt my schedule to give pets the best experience when they are with me. If they are a couch potato, I love to cuddle, if they prefer lengthy adventures, we go to one of the many close parks multiple times a day to sniff around and exercise together!
