Pet care experience
Like everyone I have cared for my family pets since i was a kid, but within the last two years I have watched my mom's dogs and cats while she was away on vacation, and cared for my brother's dog while he is at work. Every time I see a dog or cat I can't help myself but give them love- If they're okay with it!! My boyfriend convinces me to go out by saying 'There could be a dog' And then I'm already putting on my shoes.

It has been wonderful having Silas care for my dog, Kodiak. I can safely travel and have confidence in knowing that Kodiak is in good hands. When Kodi first met Silas, I could tell it was a great match. There was a special bond and form of trust (which is everything my Newfoundland needs). They became instant friends! Silas is my boyfriend and on my grave he was born to do this job. He says hello to every dog he meets and I wholeheartedly believe that he loves every single one with every fiber of his being. We have 3 cats as well and he loves them all to pieces. I am very confident in his abilites to care for any animal put into his care. Silas is one of the most caring, genuine, straightforward and kind people you will ever meet.

My brother lives with me, so his dog is almost like watching my own kid. He isn't very high energy, but when he wants to play he doesn't use toys. I groom him, as his hair gets unruly, and I make sure his food and water is out and filled. When I watch my mom's dogs it's different. She lives 30 minutes away, so I would house sit. Watching over the animals and ensuring they were walked and the litter was changed. She has a high energy mutt who enjoys playing with toys and jumping up on your legs, so he is fun to play with! Her german Sheppard is much larger and likes to put her full weight on you! They both like to run around in the yard and it is easy to keep an eye on them! I also have experience walking large dogs such as my old Rottweiler!

It's always important to know if a dog needs any kind of medications or special attention! If a dog can only be alone for certain periods of time, if they howl when they're alone, how high their anxiety levels are! Just getting to know the pupper is super important in temperment with people, kids and other animals- especially when walking in public! Always ask to pet any dog unless it's a service animal! Then we let them do their job!! ?
A typical day
Honestly I love being around dogs in general, so depending on the energy of the doggo I am up for cuddling, playing with any type of toys, racing, walking, belly rubs and plenty of kisses!

At the moment I'm between jobs so I am looking after my brother's dog, a low energy yorkie shitzu while he is at work. When my mom goes away for work I look after her cats and two dogs.
