Pet care experience

** I have been extremely busy at work. I apologize for the lack of communication and response. I'm slowly returning to Rover and providing care for your furry friends. :) hiya! I'm Silas, my pronouns are he/him. i'm just a guy who's really passionate about animals. i have a spouse named Emmett, who from time to time will accompany me or fill in for me while im busy. they have worked with animals all their life and have spent half of it volunteering. their mother was a vet technician previously, so they've had knowledge passed down throughout the years. i regularly volunteer at a cat cafe in Mt. Pleasant. i've been pet sitting for a long time, mainly for friends and family. i have volunteered my time and commitment because i genuinely love animals. i know all of my pictures are with cats, but i can assure you that i'm just as experienced with canine friends as feline ones. i grew up with dogs all my life. i had a couple german shepherds when i was younger and they were a handful but the biggest babies. my uncle rescued two pitties who were abused and i worked with them on gaining trust and their aggression towards people. so i'm experienced in that department too. now, i have two cats; a 14 year old black cat named Lucky, and a special needs 4 year old white tabby named Ravioli. i've worked with animals who have behavioral health needs and i have plenty of patience for your best friends who need a bit extra help. all i ask is that you're up front and honest about it. i purposely have lower rates because i know that life is hard for everyone, and i want to help in any way that i can. everyone deserves care. i've also had smaller animals throughout my life; snakes, rabbits, rats, tarantulas, etc. so i'm experienced there too. overall, i'm really excited to meet you and your furry (and non-furry) friends. *please note that since we live in Mt Pleasant, if i have to spend gas money to travel to a different city, our rates will have to increase to make up for it. a huge chunk of our pay is taken out by rover so we don't make as much as it says we do.

Responsible and attentive pet caregiver! He has extensive knowledge and experience caring for a wide variety of pets and caters to each animal's specific needs. He highly values the needs of the pets and has gone as far as to miss personally planned trips to help family/friends who needed last minute care for cats, dogs, rodents, insects, arachnids, reptiles, fish, and just about any type of animal you can think of. Pet safety and comfort is his first priority!

I understand what it's like to be anxious about introducing someone new into my animal's life. It's really intimidating. As a pet parent, you want to do everything possible to provide your pet with the best care and love you can. And I completely understand that. I work with you and your pet(s)'s needs and formulate a routine that is best for everyone! I can provide longer or short term walks, and I don't worry about how much I'd make, I really just want to make an impact on you and your animal's lives. Life isn't easy and you shouldn't have to worry about finding affordable care for your fur babies (or non furry) Care is tailored to you and your family. I can handle any list of responsibilities that comes with the service that is offered for your pet(s)'s. I provide walks and pet sitting at your home, but I am willing to take your dogs to a dog park to socialize and play. As of right now the responsibilities that I can provide for are listed below, but they are always subject to change, and I will take your needs into consideration. • slow introduction for all animals, but especially timid and socially anxious one's. • regular walks. even for non-leash trained animals. i can adjust length of walks to the needs of the animal. • frequent potty breaks. (no one should have to wait. when you gotta go, you gotta go) • feeding according to your instructions and diet. • administration of any medications or any special care for an animal. • bathing, brushing and any other reasonable grooming care. • cleaning up after accidents or any messes that your pet's make. • lots and lots of playtime! mental and physical stimulation is so important, and it's a vital need for any animal. • regularly replacing water bowls, and making sure no one overheats! summer is brutal for everyone. if there is something you need that isn't listed, don't hesitate to ask me!

any behavioral needs or extra care that will need to be provided. if your pet's are leash and harnessed trained. (please note, i will not walk your animals without a harness.) if they're reactive to other animals. (aggressive, chasing, etc.) and any additional information that you think is appropriate. :)

A typical day

plenty of play! mental health is so important not just for us, but for our friends as well! i like to include stimulation play as well as normal everyday playtime. i love walks and can keep up with all energy levels. parks are such a fun place to go to let off some steam. there'd also be plenty of time to relax, not everything has to be so go, go, go.
