I decided to become a Rover dog walker and sitter because I currently do not have the capacity to own a pet, but I love spending time with animals, dogs especially, and want to meet more of them around me. I work from home and can work around you and your dog's schedule. I grew up on a farm around all kinds of animals and learned their unique personalities and characteristics. My friends who own dogs have called me, "dog whisperer," and those who own cats, "cat whisperer." I have dog sat for extended stays (over a week), love to run, walk, and play with dogs, and when I was in Iraq, rescued a German Shepherd. I took care of all aspects of her health, including grooming, bathing, house breaking and training, and taking her to the vet. Moreover, I have read extensively on dog training, ownership, and behavior from some of the most respected dog trainers in the world. I respect dogs and attentively observe their individual likes and dislikes while providing gentle direction when appropriate. Whether your dog is high energy, chill or somewhere in between, we get along because I engage them as individuals that deserve love and respect.
