Pet care experience
I have been surrounded by both large and small animals (mostly horses, dogs, and cats) for all of my life. Because of this, I was often entrusted with caring for, training, and doctoring the animals - tasks that I still genuinely enjoy doing, which is a large factor in my desire to become a veterinarian in the future. I have been pet-sitting since 2018 and joined Rover in January 2022. Pet-sitting clients have expressed being happy with my thorough and transparent services. I am comfortable with pets of all sizes, well-qualified, trustworthy, conscientious, and compassionate. I also recently started working as a Veterinary Assistant, and I am very excited to become an even better animal caretaker and handler from the knowledge I will acquire through this position.

Sierra was a pro with our blind (and sometimes grumpy) Australian Cattle Dog and gave her lots of TLC! We had 100% confidence that our dog and our home were in good hands! Sierra is a great communicator, and we will be happy to book her again in the future!
Sierra was absolutely wonderful! She was extremely thorough during our house visit and she went above and beyond for our cat Sophie while we were gone. I would have her sit again any day.
Per usual, Sierra did a fantastic job. This time, our dog required some pretty difficult medications to administer and Sierra did a wonderful and thorough job!

I have two dogs, a cat, and a horse who live on a spacious property with my mother in Arizona. Since I don't have them with me, I am missing animal company very much, so I would be overjoyed to care for your pets as if they were my own, providing engagement, companionship, exercise, and ensuring their basic needs are met while they are under my care. I like to adhere to a pet's usual routine, so a detailed meet-and-greet or written notes are always helpful! Outside of a pet's routine activities, I enjoy figuring out what each animal likes to do, whether that is walking, running, playing, or receiving pets, scratches, and cuddles.

Before meeting your pet, I would like to be provided with information about their personality, habits, likes, dislikes, and disposition before sitting, as well as a detailed description of their daily routine. For house-sitting bookings, I would also ideally like to meet them in their house ahead of time as well, to familiarize us with one another and to familiarize myself with the space. Please ask me if you are interested in having an in-person or virtual orientation (if the commute is far, I might request gas money compensation).
A typical day
I try to stick to the pet's usual routine to make them as comfortable as possible. If permitted, I enjoy going on walks outside - preferably in green natural places, but neighborhoods are fun, too!

Availability
I work in West Linn Wednesday-Saturday,7am-6pm, but I am willing to spend most of my non-working hours with your pet(s)! Also, if your home is close enough to where I work, we can see if a potty break visit is possible during my 1-hour lunch. Please reach out with any other scheduling inquiries, and I can try my best to ensure your pet's needs are met!
