Hi! Welcome! If you are looking for a reliable human to take care of your best friend then look no further: Growing up with a mother as a Veterinarian, I have had the privilege of being surrounded by animals my entire life. I grew up in a household with five cats, two dogs and a guinea pig. I now am lucky enough to have my own Golden Retriever named Tucker, who will turn nine this year. In my opinion, he is family and is treated as such. He is extremely laid back and gets along with just about every dog he meets. He does have a certain tolerance with puppies but is amazing with corrective behavior which is critical to pups in the development stages. I lean on my mother a lot for any/all medical questions I have surrounding my own dog. Over the years, I have gained a ton of knowledge from her which puts me in a great position to care for your fur baby! I have an entire first aid cabinet with just about everything I would need in the case of an emergency. You can rest assured that your pet is in good hands with me - especially knowing that if anything were to happen, my mother is only one phone call away.

Sierra was great with Banana! They had a blast together and Sierra was wonderful about providing updates via text and pictures. Good to know there’s someone close by who I can trust with my little buddy.
Sierra is THE BEST and we could not be more grateful for her! She loves on all dogs in her care like her own and we can rest easy knowing our puppy is in the care of someone so experienced, capable, trustworthy, and kind. She builds walks, obedience practice, and fun adventures into each day, and as first time puppy parents we SO appreciate her thorough updates and all the great pictures and videos. Her golden retriever Tucker is also such a sweetheart and a great role model for our puppy to learn from. I cannot say enough good things, truly!!
We could not have left our young puppy Otter in better hands! He took to Sierra and her sweet golden Tucker instantly and had the time of his life romping outside. Sierra treated Otter like her own, speaking to him in such a kind voice, reinforcing his training, cuddling up with him, and capturing his puppy antics in lots of photos and videos. We really appreciated her thoughtful updates throughout the day and are so grateful to have a trusted sitter going forward!

I am flexible with feeding schedules and will accommodate whatever your dog is accustomed to. I always aim to do either a quick walk or a potty break every 0-2 hours. My duplex includes a private yard that is far from the main road. I tend to utilize it during the day in between morning and afternoon walks. It is a great, controlled environment where the dogs can get energy out during the day. I always keep a close eye on Tucker to ensure he is engaging in safe play and will do the same with your fur baby!

Does your dog get along with other dogs? How does your dog do in cars? I cannot accept any dogs that have separation anxiety and exhibit destructive behaviors if left alone !!
A typical day
I have a dog with moderate energy. He is typically very active in the morning, where we always try to get in at least a mile walk. Throughout the day, he is fairly lethargic and tends to take a ton of naps. I understand that every dog has a different set of needs and will do everything I can do accommodate that. I am lucky enough to live within a mile of Edgewater. There are a ton of different walking trails there as well as open fields where the dogs can play fetch or chase after each other. I love to let the dog dictate the walk meaning, I never pull when they are on a scent and allow them time to stop and interact with other dogs. On the weekends, I love to explore different areas and do hikes. I always stick to hikes that are considered moderate and ensure I have all the essentials necessary to ensure proper dog safety. Important to note: I am an active runner who loves dogs that enjoy burning off a ton of energy. Tucker unfortunately cannot run anymore due to his age. Please let me know if your dog likes to run so I can work that into my schedule!

Availability
I'm currently working full-time for a FinTech company out of Texas. I am fully remote and am never required to go into the office. We are considered a start up so my schedule is very fluid with a ton of flexibility. This gives me the ability to spend a ton of quality time with your pet during the week. You can expect your pet to receive lots of cuddles, multiple walks during the day, trips to Edgewater and bathroom breaks every 0-2 hours. On the weekends, I love to do different hikes/events with Tucker and would be happy to include your fur baby in those plans!
