Hi, I’m Sierra. I can’t wait to meet you and your fur babies! 🐾 I’m based in Chapel Hill and provide services throughout the Triangle. I currently work with University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My schedule is very flexible and often remote, which allows me to spend extended time in your home for house sitting or provide multiple drop-in visits each day, whatever best fits your pet’s needs. I have over 20 years of experience caring for animals of all kinds and truly love animals. I’m comfortable with pets of all sizes, breeds, ages, and those with special needs. I began volunteering at animal shelters in my early teens and continued pet sitting for neighbors throughout high school and college. Growing up, I was always surrounded by animals—cats and dogs, along with hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, and even goats—so caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life. Currently, I share my home with three cats: my 16-year-old Maine Coon mix, Leo, and two rescue girls, Indigo and Periwinkle. While I don’t have a dog of my own yet, my family has four, and I plan to adopt one in the future. I’m experienced with administering medications (including insulin), as well as providing baths, light grooming, enrichment, and dog park visits. I’m also happy to help with household tasks like bringing in mail, watering plants, and keeping your home tidy while you’re away. My goal is to care for your pets just as you would. I take the time to learn their routines, personalities, and any special needs so I can provide consistent, loving, and attentive care. Your pets’ comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priorities. I look forward to caring for your furry family members! 🐶🐱💛

Sierra was a perfect choice for our senior pets. She is everything you would ask for in a pet sitter— thoughtful, caring, communicative with updates, and she asks good questions. It was apparent that she picked up on our pets’ idiosyncrasies and their habits quickly. We needed a home stay sitter and she was also a great guest in our home. She made our trip out of the country for a week much more enjoyable for us as we did not feel worried about our pets at home thanks to Sierra!
Sierra B is a very nice person, she communicates very well and she communicates each and every day. She took very good care of my fur baby. She took pictures and took her to the dog park. I highly recommend her. I will be using her again for her services whether I have to go out of town or even for just a day. It was well worth it.

I was very happy to find Sierra, for my two dogs Newquay and Tilly. Sierra is a smart friendly, and reliable pet sitter. She is great with our dogs and is a great communicator. She responds to texts and calls promptly and will text updates after she has checked in on the dogs to let you know how they are doing. I am always confident with her watching them and know they will be well looked after. Great pet sitting and with a competitive price too! I VERY highly recommend Sierra Bowser for pet sitting!! I needed a sitter with a lot of experience and someone who I could count on since I have one dog with diabetes. After my brief training, Sierra was successful in administering insulin shots to my Great Pyrenees 2x's a day while we were gone. I found Sierra to be reliable, trustworthy and a very caring dog sitter. She even emailed me a dog "report card" when I returned home. I will definitely hire Sierra any time I go out of town!!!
